2. Mode of Address
The language used in my magazine represents the social
group I have aimed it at because I have used informal
language throughout. This is particularly shown on the
double page spread as I made the interview seem like the
artist ‘Jay’ was having a normal conversation with one of
his friends. I’ve also represented my social group through
my choice of miss-en-scene. I chose to dress my models
in everyday casual clothes as this shows my audience
that you don’t have to be fashionable to be successful.
3. ‘Win’ and ‘Exclusive’ creates
a buzz for the reader as they
may feel enticed by what
they could possibly.
This is quite informal and it
makes whoever is reading
the front cover want to find
out what's inside.
4. This interview with Jay represents the language spoke by my
audience. It is quite informal and laidback almost like a
conversation, this can create a better connection with the artist
and the audience
5. Ideal Reader
My ideal reader would be someone who is just like Jay
from boyband ‘1998’. This would be teenage boys who
are interested in fashion and music, whilst going through
the process of finding themselves. My ideal reader will
aspire to be like Jay or one of the other members of
‘1998’. They should be educated students who are willing
to succeed.
