This document discusses Classroom Action Research (CAR). CAR is research conducted by teachers in their classrooms to improve learning processes and practices. It consists of 4 steps: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The purpose is to change teacher and student behaviors to increase learning. Some key characteristics are that it is reflective, collaborative research. There are four common models: the Kurt Lewin model, Riel model, Kemmis & Taggart's model, and the DDAER model. The planning, action, observation, and reflection stages are described.

2. What is “CAR?”
02
Class Action Research (CAR) is research conducted by
teachers (educators) in their classrooms or place where
they teach that is focused on improving learning process
and practices.
The purpose of classroom action research is to change
teacher teaching behavior, student behavior in class,
increase or improve learning practices, and change the
framework for implementing classroom learning taught by
the teacher so that there is an increase in teacher
professional services in handling the learning process.
4. CHARACTERISTICS
The main characteristic of classroom action research is the participation and collaboration between the researcher and the
target group members.
The characteristics of classroom action are as follows :
1. Reflective Inquiry
2. Collaborative
3. Reflective
5. CLASSROOM ACTION RESEARCH MODELS
According to Mulyatiningsih (2011), there are four models of classroom action research, namely :
Model Kurt Lewin Riel Model
Kemmis
&

The Planning Stage
Implementation Stage
The Observation Stage
The Reflection Stage
At this stage, the researcher must carefully prepare the researcher concept
to be carried out, for example : a lesson plan and its instruments.
The mop stage action is an important stage in determening the success of the
researcher. It is at stage that you will execute the plan has been made. At this
stage, you must be able to teach properly and as is. That means, don’t look
tense and as if you’re forced to.
At this observation stage, there are two things that you must observe, namely
student learning & teaching activities for you. You can monitor student learning
activities during learning process. Meanwhile, your teaching activities can
be monitored by other people (collaboration) such as follow teachers.
The reflection stage can be in the form of a discussion between Mr / Ms and
collaborators. The discussion aims to share the results of collaborators’obser
vations ono your performance in class.
