2. Music Video Moodboard
A lot of music videos inspired me and I decided to use ‘gif clips’ to present my
favourite ones. Collecting these various shots allowed me to insight myself to
different ideas for my own production for example the use of the panning effect
to create a ‘journey’ theme. This is used in Stormzy’s “Not that deep” to display
his journey but also in Beyoncé's “Crazy in Love” to demonstrate her fierce
attitude but also to display her femininity and sexuality through her strut and
costume. Using this effect to create a journey in my production as I believe it allows the
artist to create a connection with the audience.

3. I really liked the close up shot used in Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” as I found it
was effective in expressing emotion, which is what I would like to include in my
production to express the emotions of the song. However my favourite shot is
from Kehlani’s “First Position” as I believe it reflects the exact idea I had in relation
to my chosen song, which is also produced by Kehlani. I like this shot in particular
as it features a male character to emphasise the relationship. I am planning to
incorporate this shot and create a flashback scene to emphasise the change in
this relationship that Kehlani sings about in my chosen song ‘Jealous’. This creates
empathy for the audience as they will begin to feel sorry for her troubles and the
heartbreak she is going through. Another Kehlani shot I liked was from “The way”
as it emphasises the boy-girl relationship but in a very different way. I am also
considering the black and white effect as well.
