1. Equipment used
A variety of equipment was used throughout filming and during
photoshoots. Here is a list of what I used and how they were used
as well as how effective they were.
2. Firstly, I purchased a 32gb memory
card from my local Maplin store.
Using a 32gb memory card was
most effective as there was enough
storage for footage and was also
compatible with any professional
camera I then chose to use.
I also borrowed a camera tripod
from a media technician Mr Jarratt
who had a spare one. Using a tripod
allowed us to keep the camera as
still as possible when filming and to
avoid taking blurry photos during
photoshoots. This was especially
useful when filming outdoor shots
as it would be resistant to wind. The
tripod was essential and a big
difference without it was noticeable.
I used a Canon 500D to film
and take photos. This camera
is very professional and
perfect for filming as it is
high in quality allowing our
footage to be clear which is
essential for a music video.
Using a professional camera
is essential as my audience
will expect an exceptional
video.
In Mr Jarratt’s studio, the lighting was perfect as we could
alter is to high or low to create shadows in order to set the
atmosphere for the shoots. The umbrella/key lights helped
to reflect a spot light, emphasising the artists’ face.
