2. For every different genre the magazine cover is
designed somewhat differently, this is because
the target audience is different for each genre.
An example of this is that pop magazines in
order to appeal to teens use bright and flashy
colors such as pink, where as classical
magazines use calm color schemes in order to
appeal to it’s older audience such as black and
white.
4. From all of these genres
Rock is perhaps the most
popular. Many of the most
popular music magazines
fall under this category,
these include Rolling
Stone, Kerang, etc.
The target audience for rock
magazines is quite diverse
therefore the cover-page of
such magazines usually
varies as it is needed to
attract the different
audiences.
5. Another genre which is now gaining a
rather large audience around the
globe is Electronic. Electronic
music has many sub genres such
as Trance, House, Synthpop,
Dubstep etc.
Many remarkable magazines are
categorized as being from the
electronic genre; For example;
Dj magazine, Mixmag, etc.
The cover page of such magazines
usually contains the use of neon
colors to appeal to it’s
young audience
6. Classical music magazines
usually contain the use of light
colors in order to attract the
older target audience. The text
used is also quite elegant.
A brief description of some of
the articles is given on the
Magazine cover.
