My media product is a magazine focused on the classic rock/heavy metal genre of music.
To make my magazine appealing to the type of people that listen to this music, I have
included articles that would interest them. These articles are mainly about musicians that
are iconic within this music scene. Also, I have included information on things such as
festival line-ups that would definitely interest the readers. The sponsor for my magazine is
‘Planet Rock Radio’ which is a popular radio station, aimed at listeners of rock and heavy
metal music. Because of this, the two link together perfectly and I thought it would make
a good sponsor for my magazine. In my magazine I also included a “Day in the studio”
article. This type of article would be interesting to the readers as it gives them an insight
into how the music they like is produced and recorded.
My colour scheme is edgy and also uses Gold, for the nostalgic element of classic rock
music. I chose to use reds and blacks because it gives it a more serious vibe, as opposed to
using softer colours, that would give my magazine a pop music feel.
