Classic Pop is published by Anthem Publishing with the
target audience being middle aged people- or people who like
synth- pop, ska and indie rock from the mid 70’s to 80’s.
CONTENT
Classic Pop writes about the artists from the 70’s and 80’s as
well as recent artists who perform music of a similar style.
People such as Blondie and Petshop Boys have been
featured as the ‘main focus’ of the magazine, however they
have articles writing about events and the artists revolving
around artists within the genre’s they cover.
They contain photoshoot’s with the artist as well as
interviews with them.
They also have articles based on CD’s related to their genre’s
that suggest music that their readers might like.

Rock Sound has been published by Freeway Press inc and
has an audience of 15 year olds up to young adults that like
to Rock genre of music.
CONTENT
Rock Sound predominantly features articles about groups
and artists in the Rock genre: this may include interviews,
photos, information about their tours and music.
They always have a ‘Band of The Week’ and contain
information on the formation of the band as well as their
upcoming music and works.
Often if artists in the Rock genre have written something they
will publish it, and the magazine also has a ‘Letter To Myself’
section where they get famous artists of the Rock genre to
write a letter to themselves in the past.
