Vibe magazine is a very professional magazine who will always want to please the needs
of their customers. They do this by using celebrity endorsement. Their magazines are
always consistent. They always have the main image dominating the majority of the
front cover. Even if some people are not interested in the type of music Vibe is showing
they may still purchase the magazine due to the celebrities on the front cover.
3. Contents Pages
Vibe has created a contents page which is very different to the ones other music
magazine publishers use. The way ‘contents’ is written and is completely unique to
Vibe’s own design. The magazine has minimal information which saves the reader time
scanning through heaps of text. The contents are all consistent with the way their
masthead is written this suggest it is a professional magazine.
4. Articles
Vibe has created very sexy and
attractive articles which
appeal to their target
audience. The images used in
their articles are all anchored
with the copy. Some images
have men smoking in them
and they will not be very
appealing towards the
younger audience range.
Attractive women are used for
sex appeal so that men are
attracted to their magazine.
5. Genre
Vibe magazine predominantly has an R&B and Hip-Hop genre. The magazine
shows consistency throughout all of their issues. Their target audience are
males and females as the colours they use are unisex and the models that
advertise the magazine appeal to both genders. Young urban followers will be
interested in the type of magazine Vibe has produced. This allows Vibe to
target a bigger audience which will make more sales for them. People who
enjoy R&B and Hip-Hop music will be most likely to purchase the music as
this is their chosen taste of music.

to recession but has been
taken over by InterMedia

equity business which helps and
takes over businesses which are
struggling to continue or have
fallen into recession. InterMedia
is currently the institution for
Vibe and they have been since
they took over their current
recession issue since 2009. they
have helped the business get up
from the ground and into the sky.
InterMedia Partners was
originally found in 1988 by Leo
Hindery Jr. they have 50 years of
experience and they have invested
in cable television, broadcast
television, print, programming,
and broadband opportunities.
This successful company is
currently worth 1 billion dollars!
8. Why I Like Vibe Magazine
Vibe is a very professional and
attractive magazine. The
magazine is consistent with the
layout of their front covers and
contents pages. This magazine is
not similar to other magazines
and I like the fact that it is
different. Women are used as an
advantage by the magazine
producers as they are
predominantly used to attract
non Hip-Hop living men
towards the magazine. I think
this is very clever as this will
enable Vibe to broaden their
target audience.
