2. • As I had a lot of images for this model
I decided to use him as my main
image on the front cover. This image
is bold and shows the artist to be
strong and determined. The way he
makes eye contact with the camera
makes the readers feel as though he’s
looking directly at them and this
creates a relationship between the
two. I will probably not use the whole
image on the front cover its quite big
but the main thing I want is the
drums to be in to represent the genre
as indie rock straight away. I will
probably get rid of the background
and just have it plain white as a
bedroom doesn't suit the genre. Also
the colours are quite dull so I will
probably boost the contrast and the
brightness to make it more bold.
3. • I have chosen to have this image
as one on my contents page this
will be one of the images that
represent pages. This image has
been chosen as It has a very indie
look about it the poses of the
models represents a common
musicians laid back attitude and
the clothes clearly represent
indie fashion. Also I like the
archway in this image its different
and suits the models. I will
probably add a black border to
this image and also a filter of
some kind to make the image
have more of an appeal.
4. • This image would work really well as
a main image however I already have
one which suits the genre better.
However due to the quality of the
image and the way it works so well
with the pose. I feel as though I need
to put it somewhere in the magazine.
The hand looks as if its holding
something so therefore I will use this
image in my contents page as I can
have him sitting in the bottom corner
holding something. At most I will
have to add a bit of contrast to get it
to match the other images on the
page. Also I would want to delete the
background of the image and have it
plain white as I'm going for a
minimalist look on my magazine.
5. • This image will be used on my double
page spread as I feel the images I got
of this model were the best. I had a
lot of good photos of her and this will
enable me to have multiple images
on the double page spread of her if I
decide I want to later on. I like this
image as I can have the background
deleted and make it look as though
she's leaning on the edge of the
page. Also she looks relaxed and
focused on her music which suits the
genre. When editing this image I
would probably add both a
brightness and contrast to the image
to make it the colours more clearer
and also I would like to have multiple
copies of the image in different
colours .
6. This image will be used on my double
page spread as well. This will
compliment the image where you
can see the artists face as this
shows more about her
personality. I don't like the shine
on the ukelele though so I will
probably add a filter of some kind
to make that less obvious. The
background although showing
multiple musicians will probably
be deleted as I would like to
maybe have this image on one
side of the page maybe cut down
the middle leaving more room for
text.
