2. TITLE
The title is used to summarise what the
article is about in a word or two. It
shouldn’t be too long and should be quite
catchy so people will remember it
3. COLUMNS
Columns will be used to separate work so
it won’t look all cramped out together.
This means text can easily be read.
4. DROP CAPITALS
To show the start of the article, a drop
capital is used at the start of the first
paragraph.
5. DATE AND TIME
One of the most important parts of a TV
listing is the date and time. The date and
time of the programme must be listed so
that readers can see when it is actually
coming on.
6. BYLINES
In some cases by-lines are used to show
who has taken the photograph for the
article. This isn’t compulsory and isn’t
used all the time.
7. MAIN IMAGE
This is the main thing that grabs the
readers attention. The use of the image is
to grab the readers attention. The more
eye catching the image, the more likely it
is for the person to go on and read the
article.
8. PULL QUOTE
A pull quote is used to emphasise a main
line that has some sort of importance
behind it. The pull quote should be eye
catching and engage the reader to read
on.
9. PAGE NUMBERS
Page numbers are always used on
magazines to enable readers to navigate
from page to page and find things easily.
