1. This is my front cover. In the process of making this
cover I have cropped out the previous back ground
to get a plain white background. I had used the
quick selection tool and the magic wand tool. I
have also turned up the brightness of my front
cover so that the main image stands out against
the background.
I have chosen to go with the initial plan having a
red and black house style and I like the fact that
my masthead is bright and stands out. I have also
used the clone stamp tool to get rid of some facial
scars on my model. The progress that I have made
so far shows that I have used my research and
applied it to my magazine, such as I have taken out
quotes from the inside of my magazine and put
them on my cover lines to attract my target
audience. I have also used bright fonts for both
cover lines and my masthead to make them eye
catching.

2. On my front cover I had made a new
layer of my models head because
the mast head was covering his
head. By copying his head and
creating another layer, his head
covered the layer of the mast head.

3. I have made more progress as I have
added more cover lines and have made
some changes with them. I decided to
put my models name at the bottom of
the magazine rather than the top. I
made this change because I thought
that the name should be larger which
would have made it more eye catching.
I have also added an IPHONE scanner
which makes my magazine look more
professional in a way that I have
thought about the consumer’s needs.

4. I decided to put the models
name back in the original
place, because I thought that
it would be more eye catching
and easier to read. I have also
changes the style of the text
by taking away the red outer
layer stroke and adding a
black stoke as before it was
blurry and did not go with the
house style of my magazine. I
have also compressed the
cover lines to make it look
more neat and professional.
I haver also put the logo on
my front cover so that people
can recognize it and now my
magazine has a brand.
