2. I had the idea of cutting around my
model and putting it against a grey
background but I didn’t like this
because the white showed up too
much I took the idea for a grey
contents page from this
3. I decided to make it lighter and use
a gradient effect which I think looks
professional and hides the white
lines around the model
4. I took some inspiration from XXL
and decided to add some black bars
to the top and bottom but the logo
next to it, later I decided not to use
the logo in that position so I moved
it and extended the black bar.
5. Here I put in my features I put the
brackets around “features” in the
black bar like XXL. I moulded it
around the shape of my model’s
body to make it look good and to
not cover up the image. These were
my first draft for cover lines and I
ended up changing them slightly
6. This is my finished contents page I
kept the house style of red, black
and white and made the numbers
look similar to the logo. I also added
a logo, page number and date at the
bottom to make it look like a
real, professional magazine
7. Here’s my mock up
compared to my final
piece, it is essentially the
same just with some
tweaking and inspiration
from other places
