How Did You Attract/Address Your Audience? - Evaluation
1. How did you attract/ address your audience?
When it came to planning what I would like to use within my magazine to attract
my target audience I looked at the different front covers and double page
spreads to see what the most common features were. Once I had found these
such as having large pictures of the artists and having exclusive interviews I
went through and decided what I would like to use on and within my magazine.
Some of the elements I decided on are having a female attractive singer on the
front cover image, articles about singers and musicians that the audience will be
interested in, exclusive interviews with the cover star, review articles,
performance information, information about artists to look out for, new releases,
and pictures etc.
I made sure to address the audience within the magazine in a formal and also
informal way. This is because I wanted the audience to see that I was a
professional looking magazine, but I also wanted them to see that within the
interview that the article wasn’t just straight information to give it was showing
a caring and respectful way for the singer who was interviewed just like in a
normal interview within a magazine where the interviews opinion may be
expressed as well as jus the question they have to ask the interviewee.
