The History Of Product Design
The history of product design is a fickle subject. Through the years, the wheel has been invented and
re–invented many a time. That is because design is fluid. But at the same time, design is constant.
Often the past inspires the present. Even more, the ideas of what the future can hold can end up
creating the future of design. These design ideas can be seen trickling into both the works of Vico
Magistretti and James Dyson. Often it is said that no one creates anything new anymore. It is true
that you can't reinvent the wheel, but it can certainly be seen that designs from the past often inspire
the future of design. Designs by Vico Magistretti in the 20th–century have similar aesthetics to the
designs of James Dyson, a 21st–century inventor, and designer. Designs of James Dyson show that
the present is rooted in the past. Designs and products of Vico Magistretti show that simple designs
are timeless. Designs and products of James Dyson show that basic design philosophies are often
repeated through time.
Vico Magistretti is best known not just as an industrial designer, but as an architect as well. It
actually seems like a natural combination. Even Frank Lloyd Wright is known to have designed the
entire living experience surrounding his architectural planning. While Magistretti did not so far as to
even design the clothes the homeowners were to wear, it only makes sense that Magistretti would
envision his designs housed within yet another one of his designs.

A Trip To South Carolina Essay
We have now begun on our journey to South Carolina. I can't wait to arrive, though I am worried
about the travel there. When we first set out, father spoke with James, Elizabeth, and I. He finally
thought it was time to tell us about Lexington and Concord, I don't think he knows I know so much
about it already. Though he told us some things I was not aware of. He said that, even though the
colonists lost so many men they still considered the battle a victory. This confused and surprised me,
they thought this because they took a stand and upset King George the third. And turns out that these
two battles had started a revolutionary war! So the colonist are currently fighting for there freedom
from the British. I hope the colonists win this war, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The whole family was in tears, but we also knew we needed to continue on our way down south.
Mother was most upset, she just wanted to hold him one last time but I was afraid to let her.
Thinking it would make things worse, I refused to let her hold him. Then we held a makeshift funeral
we laid him in the hole we had dug last night. From there we all spoke out and said what he meant
to us and how we will miss him. Father then began filling in the whole. As he did so, we all had one
big group hug. It will take all of us time to move forward but we will get there. We now continue
our journey, leaving little ol' Will behind. He will be missed. Ok, so it has been days since I wrote
last. I know it might seem weird that I am not starting another, but I never officially ended this entry.
Anyway, I have been informed that we shall be arriving in South Carolina by nightfall. I am so
excited, mostly to see Emaline! Though I am afraid to spend time with her, due to my sickness. Who
knows if we will be allowed to get together, are parent might not let us. Though I am truly hoping
they can put money differences behind them. Miles, Alice, Ann, and Elizabeth were all running
alongside the wagon playing tag. I would like to play too, but I do not want to upset them by
winning. So I will just do my own thing for now, mother could use my help knitting

Creative Story : A Short Story
One day this little girl was at school and school ended in about 10 minutes so she just sat there and
drawn for 10 minutes. So after the bell rang she ran outside for her parents but her parents weren't
there and neither was her best friend's parents were there either. So the little girl and her friend just
sat there and talked for about 15 minutes for their parents to come. So while they were talking her
friend brought up the little girl going to her house when her parents got there.
So there parents got there finally and the little girl asked her parents "can I go to my best friend's
house". Her parents said "no". Then the little girl was going to ask why but she knew that they were
going to say "because I said so now stop asking". So she just sat in the back seat and she shut her
mouth. So when she got home she marched to her room and slammed her door. She started to cry
and she got angry because she could not go to her friends and she has never been to her friends ever.
So first the little girl lies to her parents and says she is studying but she locks her door. Next the little
girl sneaks out of her house. Then the little girl tracks herself in the snow. Then her parents follow
her tracks. Her parents figured out that she is at her friends house. Last her parents pound on the
front door.
So they bestfriends parents open the door and they see the mad look on the little girls face. The best
friends parents call the little girl and the little girl came and

The Boston Fbi Field Office Building
The room was filled with chatter and arguments. The mass murder that was happening in the states
of the New England region was the center of the discussion in the Boston FBI field office building.
Officer Alecia Harrison was sitting silently in the room while the roars of the others burdened her
ears. It was a late night and the agents were talking all at once about their opinions on the situation.
She sighed, looked around the room and shouted over the silence for everyone to be quiet. The
individuals in the room grew silent as they looked at the young woman who had just interrupted
their banter. "Listen, this isn't helping the situation. We need to come together and figure out a lead,"
explained Alecia. "The only information we have is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She felt a chill run down her spine as she had a sense that someone was watching her from afar.
Slowly turning to look behind her, she looked out in the distance of the woods by her house. When
she felt certain that no one was there she proceeded the rest of the way to her front door.
The young woman opened up her door and immediately felt that sense of uneasiness again even
though her home was full of light. She could hear the water running in the bathroom and figured that
her boyfriend, James, was just taking his usual night shower. She went into the kitchen to get a
quick drink of water. As she drank the cool liquid she felt an immense feeling of relief. She
advanced toward the bathroom. She walked down the hallway heading towards the closed bathroom
door. Alecia felt a sense of panic and anxiety when she felt her foot become slightly submerged in a
liquid on the floor.
She flung the bathroom door open and felt her throat tighten at the scene. Her loving boyfriend was
laying in the bathtub clearly dead with the water overflowing over the sides of the tub. His eyes
were glazed over, looking almost made out of glass, and his skin had started to become discolored.
Letting out a guttural scream, she ran to the side of the tub and tried to lift him out. However, she
knew it was too late and he was too heavy for her to lift. She sunk to the wet floor with tears falling
from her eyes as she turned off

My Beauty Of Life
As I walked into freshman year I was by no means expecting to lose connection with myself on the
way. I recall walking home after long days at school, absorbing my surroundings. Breathing in the
sweet air as the calm breeze hit my face. Thinking to myself that this walk home was the only time I
have anymore to just think and be myself. See I'm the type of person to go outside spending hours
sitting, doing absolutely nothing. Just to assimilate the beauty of life. Time, space, me, my spirit,
and my thoughts. At this moment there is no stress about the demand of getting excessive amounts
of work done and memorizing notes for the next text. Having six–hour days to come home, sit down
again, and have my head sink into the endless pages of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I am not saying going to school is a bad thing, but it shouldn't be organized in a way of
programming children. Disconnecting them from themselves; pulling them apart like string cheese.
Without peace within, you cannot accomplish peace outside. Gandhi once said, " If we want to reach
real peace in this world, we should start educating children." When he says this I don't envision he
means a classroom full of innocent children being programmed with math, reading, writing and the
sciences. How many students are actually going to benefit from knowing how to transform a
parabola? Yes, those things are important. However, a child's mental health overrules by far. When I
read that quote I see a classroom full of children playing, having fun, and learning to discover
themselves through making friendships. How can a child genuinely learn anything about themselves
and the earth they walk on if their little heads are constantly being crammed full of academics? They
can't, and this system is twisted. Through my experience, I would say high school is most guilty of
this corrupt system. Although, you can begin to watch it arise starting in elementary school. As I
move my way up the ladder into community college, I feel like I'm being allowed to slowly breathe
again. Although not yet entirely, the feeling of being trapped is fading away. Hopefully, my journey
will continue to present this freedom. Going to a larger 4–year university or college is not in my
main interest because I

The Pros And Cons Of Trump
Second and more importantly, the office of the Presidency of the United States requires not just a
man of intelligence (which Trump also lacks), but also a man of dignity, honor, morality, and
righteousness, because he'll be making decisions which demand such qualities. He'll preside over
our troops and elect court justices. He'll have veto power, address and represent our nation, and have
the ability to evoke executive privilege. To belittle these realities by stating that those who oppose
Trump do so because they just scrupulously want to elect a born–again Christian is frankly dishonest
"straw–man" rhetoric at its worst. James says that a wise man is someone who is gentle, truthful,
pure, peaceable, reasonable, full of mercy, unwavering; ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Again, this is such the perfect picture of Trump. These that have withheld money from the
harvesters will themselves become the harvested! A farmer fattens up his animals for slaughter. So
too will self–focused evil people like Trump with their fattened hearts be prepared for Christ's
slaughter. Isaiah 63:1–6 gives us an absolutely startling imagery of Christ the Messiah, returning to
earth at His second coming to fight against the armies of the Antichrist in the battle of Armageddon.
His garments are stained with blood from the slaughter.

The 1975: A Short Story
The cool autumn trees blew into the wind and my feet took me slowly to place i didn't want to be.
My mothers house.
When i walked into the creaking wooden door, a blast of cat urine hit me in the face but the thing
was, we didn't own any cats. I knew what she was doing so i ran up the stairs. I shut my door and
threw my bag onto the bed. I grabbed my phone and started blasting the 1975 through the speakers.
My only comfort now was music, and of course writing and photos.
My mother screamed my name, how am i so good at guessing what's gonna happen next.
I took long dreadful steps downstairs and see my mother sitting on the couch doing something kids
would run away to.

The Smiths got into the airplane, and found their seats. This was Amy's first airplane ride, she was

Descriptive Essay On The Curse
"The Curse Which Still Lived"
It was a depressing and grey afternoon. James had just turned twenty–five, and as adventurous as he
was, he anxiously waited for a task. Next thing he knew, he has found himself scrolling on an LED
screen which entranced him as if he knew nothing more. There he sat, alone in his dusty old room
looking through various websites for interesting locations near him. His fingers stopped with a jerk.
A picture of a castle intrigued him as he stared at the blinding screen. The location was on an island
north of Canada, only about an hour and a half from his hometown near Nunavut. Four words
caught his eyes underneath the section titled "Description". " The curse never dies," it wrote. This
didn't deter James in the slightest. The next morning James pulled himself out of bed and got ready.
The day was bright and warm with very few clouds in the sky; the fresh scents of summer filled his
nostrils as he prepared to embark on this adventure. For one hour and thirty minutes James drove
through the constant stretch of road until he reached something. It was a boat ramp, but something
was off. The ramp had been consumed by the elements of nature and time and floating near the ramp
was an old wooden paddle boat engraved with the words "Katherine Rogers" on the side. It seemed
to have been there only a couple weeks. James carefully boarded the small paddle boat and made his
way north, where at a distance, a island could be spotted with a castle–like structure

Personal Narrative : A Short Story : The Story Of Tortillas

How Did James Madison Build The Constitution
James Madison, also known as the Father of the Constitution, was one of the many remarkable men
in American history. He, along with many others, fought bravely for the existence of the United
States of America whether it was by the sword or by the pen. However, another obstacle stood in the
way of this newborn country; a government. Creating the Constitution would be a whole conflict in
itself, but it was one that James Madison knew would benefit the nation in the end. There were
many hindrances that came in between the Constitution such as the Anti–federalists, a weak Articles
of Confederation, and also the fact that the people had just escaped a previous cruel monarchy.
However, James Madison was able to overcome them all. The first and foremost difficulty that
James Madison and the rest of the nation faced in creating this Constitution was the escape from
overpowering monarchy. After fighting this impossible war and miraculously becoming victorious,
the people wanted the exact opposite of a Constitution. The colonies of the United States wanted to
govern themselves how they pleased and to avoid a federal government altogether. James Madison
along with the rest of the Federalists knew that this would not be able to keep the country in balance.

Personal Narrative : My Best Friend
March 22, 2006, should have been a regular Wednesday for me. Me being in first grade, a regular
Wednesday was to wake up at 8 a.m. to my father turning on my lights, and spiritedly but
annoyingly singing, "Wake up, wake up!" Wincing at the light and my father's terrible voice, I was
always able to wake up in order to shut him up. However, the most memorable part of this day was
not during school but rather what happened later that day at home. It was my father's birthday. My
father was turning 33 and my mom had a little surprise for our family. To this day, I am not too sure
whether my father knew it was happening or not, but my mom walked in through the front door
holding a 10lb cream–colored standard poodle. My mom placed her on the dining room table; tail–
wagging, tongue out, and super energized. Standing there in awe due to pure shock and
astonishment, it was a moment I will always remember. I met my first true best–friend. It wasn't just
some friend though, this dog became my family. Chelsea was the smartest dog I knew, being able to
understand our commands (In Russian of course, as we spoke that at home) at the age of 2. I was
able to teach it hand commands, like raising my hand in front of me as if telling someone to stop,
which signaled sit. Lay down was me waving my hand down, as if petting a dog in a vertical
motion. Chelsea was a one of a kind dog to say the least, bringing joy and comfort to a growing
family. My dog perfectly fit the stereotype all poodles have.

George Washington, John Adams, And Thomas Jefferson
George Washington, John Adams, and Thomas Jefferson. Not only is this a list of US Presidents but
it is also a list of three of the most well–known Founding Fathers. Yes, they have their reasons to be
because each one of them have numerous achievements and have accomplished many things that
others have not. But one Founding Father often over looked, and not just because he stands five feet
four inches tall, is James Madison. With all due respect, James Madison has accomplishments that
stand just as well against the test of time. James Madison to me is one of the most important
Founding Fathers. Please allow me to explain why I chose Mr. James Madison, the background and
upbringing of him, some of his most notable contributions to the Unites States and why those
contributions are still important today.
The reason I chose James Madison over the rest of the Founding Fathers is because I believe he isn't
as well–known as he should be and with that being said, would like to inform you about him.
Madison has accomplished many great things in his life that have had an effect on the United States
as we know it today. Undoubtedly the biggest contribution that Madison made to the United States
of America was the he was the author of the draft that was used to create the Constitution and
without the constitution there really wouldn't be a frame of government. Another reason I chose
James Madison is because he fought for religious freedom, believing it was an individual's right

Moral Theory Of Lawrence Kohlberg
Lawrence Kohlberg was a theorist and a scholar of child growth. He focused on the ethical
development of kids and how they mature the wisdom of right, justice, and wrong. Kohlberg noted
that teenagers underwent certain phases during moral growth. Through his observations, he
developed a theory that human beings develop from one phase to another through an invariant
pattern, not missing any stage. His conclusions have been proven by critical cultural studies
conducted throughout the world. These phases were at levels known as pre–conventional,
conventional and post–conventional morality.
Level One: Pre–Conventional Morality
Stage One: Obedience and Punishment Orientation

They trust that individuals should obey the beliefs of the family and the society and act well at all
times. Having good behavior typically means that a person should have respectable reasons and
good personal feelings such as trust (Kohlberg, 1971).
Stage Four: Maintaining the Social Order
At this phase, a person should reason when interacting with the family members and close friends.
One should make an effort of understanding the needs and wants of others and attempt to help.
Respondents at this phase are more anxious with the whole society. They put more importance in
observing laws and carrying out duties that ensure social order is upheld (Kohlberg & Kramer,
1969). For example, individuals should reason on the possible effects of breaking the law before
doing so. For instance, it could probably lead to chaos rejecting the functioning of society.
Level Four: Post–conventional Morality
Stage Five: Social Contract and Individual Rights
At stage five, individuals aim at ensuring that the community keeps performing. Nevertheless, a
society functioning smoothly is not essentially the best because a society needs to be well structured.
Stage five focuses on the components of a healthy society and those at this stage think of the
community in a theoretical way by considering the values and rights that the society ought to
maintain (Kohlberg, 1971). Moreover, they trust that a healthy community is a social pact in which

Captain James Cook Research Paper
Captain James Cook was born on November 7th, 1728, until February 14th 1779. He is a former
British explorer, cartographer and navigator. James Cook is famous for his three voyages of
exploration in the South Pacific Ocean along with the coastal waters of North America. He is best
acknowledged for discovering the Hawaiian Islands, and his greatest realization was the broad scope
of his own exploration, his detail, and finally the documentation of his discovery. In addition James,
was the son of a farm worker, who grew up in a rural village called Marton. Years later this village
became the country of Yorkshire, England. After this event had occurred, James at just seventeen
years of age moved to the coast of port town Whitby, when he trained ... Show more content on

To begin with James's first voyage began when a British government decided to start a voyage in the
Pacific. The reason why this former British government wanted to begin this expedition was to
observe the transit of Venus, a unlike astronomical phenomena which is visible only in the southern
hemisphere. Secondly to explore the Terra Australis; a huge continent presumed to be visible only in
the southern hemisphere. Thirdly explain the scientific importance that the voyage was connected
with its crew, which included an astronaut, two artists, and finally three naturalists. Moving forward,
the expedition went from Plymouth to England in 1768 aboard a ship called the Endeavor. This
expedition went from crossing the Atlantic Ocean to rounding the Cape Horn at the tip of South
America. Hours later the crew headed to a place called Tahiti were a British explorer named Samuel
Wallis had confronted him in the year 1767. Furthermore Tahiti was in place to observe the transit of
Venus, making Venus a place with great harbors, amiable inhabitants, a gentle climate and finally
sustenance proving that Venus is an important site to relax and resupply voyage. Cape's first voyage
became extremely important to the world's knowledge of the southern hemisphere. Also by
acquiring this, Cook and the other member of the ship were able to collect specimens as well as the
recorded observations made by them throughout the

and one of the most important highways in Iraq.
Most of the expressway adjacent land along the road is owned by the Government, except some
farms and installations owned by private. There are 176 official and private installations and
adjoining to this expressway; many of them are assembling randomly on the right of way. These
installations include; Police posts, Army posts, check points, Commercial (stand–alone) privately
owned rest areas. Formal rest areas with integrated services, Small and fragmented shops, some of
which are informal and unlicensed and farms or state leased lands.
Most of the installations include medium or bad partial services like restaurants and shops. Many
restaurants moved from the city to the area of the express way to follow traffic. In fact, Informal and
illegal service stations are now dominating service delivery and they are very close to road and
cannot be moved back because of obstacles behind it parking, especially of trucks needs
management and repair. Most of the parking of trucks is obstructing movement and activities. The

My First Day In High School
New year, new school, bring it on. I spent countless days thinking of endless scenarios of my first
day of seventh grade. I had high hopes for my new school, Maranatha Private School, which ended
up being the most wretched hive of scum and villainy in southern California. I didn't get much sleep
the night before my first day and I was the quiet, shy kid who had but two friends. I barely made it
to class on time as the teacher began taking attendance. Slowly she passed over the names until she
reached mine. "Brandon Ham–hamburger, Hembijner?" I sat slumped in my seat, my face redder
than a freshly picked tomato. The only thing I wanted in that moment was to be home watching
Netflix, away from all of these unfamiliar faces trying to figure me out. 'Dear God, I know you're
there so just hear me out real quick alright?' I thought to myself, 'Please just get me out of this one
little thing.' Call it coincidence, but I think this was a little bit more than that. At the exact moment
when I was about to correct the teacher, the PA system came on: "Teachers, please report to the gym
with your class for the start of the year assembly." All the attention was taken off of me and I began
to think that this year may not be so bad... I was sorely mistaken.
As we sat down in the bleachers for the assembly I heard a "Hey, hamburger." I turned my head to
find the most vile human being I've met to this day, let's call him Matt, which was actually his name
but whatever. For the rest of the

The boy descended from the rooftops coughing and covered in soot. No one acknowledged that they

Fernando knew that no help would be found here. The boy needed to rest for a bit, so he went over
to find some shade on the other side of town. He settled towards a nice and big palm tree. He put
Mia down right next to him and asked," Any words yet?" Mia stared at him like she had no idea
what he was talking about. With a sense of disappointment he then laid back and stared up at the

then continued, " Papa and mama will be so mad when they see what happened." he then decided to
walk back towards the remains of his home to wait for his parents. He then grabbed Mia and picked
her up and headed towards the palm tree to grab what they needed and then left.
They got to the remains of his home and waited for his parents while it was lightly drizzling. His

saw that the Police were still there discussing. One officer walked up to Fernando and said,
"We found out that today's fire wasn't an accident, but an Arson."
Fernando stood there with confusion in his eyes. He didn't understand why someone would do that.
The rain started to pick up intensity. The officer then looked at him and asked,
"What apartment number did you live in?" Fernando then replied,
"306 sir." The officer looked at him in disbelief and put his hand on his shoulder. With a mumble in

She let herself be swallowed by the fog. She didn't remember dinner or what she said, just that food

Most of us don't appreciate what we have and despise those who have what we can't afford.
Growing up, my parents rarely denied me new toys, but subconsciously, I knew I should not ask for
unnecessary items. Up to this day, I don't remember a time when I bought something without asking
myself multiple times, "How much do I really need this?" This is because my family has never been
in a financial position in which we could afford anything and everything we wanted. Just like Mark
Twain said, "I am opposed to millionaires, but it would be dangerous to offer me that position," I
personally would not be able to handle the responsibility which comes with having money at easy
disposal because of how I was raised. For the first nine years of my life, I lived in Belarus. My
family would've been considered to be middle–class at the time. We didn't struggle, but there was
always the desire to make more money. In 2009, we won the lottery for the greencard to come to the
United States, and "the green card was a passport to the American Dream" (Zakaria 468). Leaving
everything and everyone behind, we packed our suitcases and came to Strongsville, OH. The college

Misogynist Role In Ian Fleming's Casino Royale
George Bernard Shaw once said "Women upset everything. When you let them into your life, you
find that the woman is driving at one thing and you're driving at another" (Swan, 2017). In spy
fiction, particularly James Bond novels, women are seen as less superior to the males and seem to be
used as sexualized objects. Ian Fleming's novel Casino Royale illustrates how the effect of a
relationship can affect a man's perspective towards women. According to Terrance Klein's article
"UNBREAKABLE BOND: Fifty years of 007", she makes a statement that Bond used "Women for
recreation...they get in the way and fog things up" (Terrance, 2012) in order to theorize that women
in the James Bond series were only for personal use and nothing significant. The quote given by
Klein is applied in Casino Royale, however in Casino Royale Bond seems to have more intimacy
with Vesper, but because of the way his relationship with his female counterpart turns out, it seems

Short Story About Moving Back To America
"Audi Audi Audi!!!" my sister called for me so I took off running and looking to find her she came
running from the door, " a man a man" Ava said running in from school. I stopped her as she flew
pasted me, " whoa whoa whoa slow down and get back here what are you talking about?" she just
looked at me and gave me this weird look and the slowly grabbed my arm and walked me to the
door. As we got to the door Ava ran of another room and hid, "Ava sweetie come here there is no
man at the door it's nothing you can come out" I told her. But she acted as if who ever it was was
going to hurt her. " Ava" I said, " come over here and sit down we need to talk." she looked at me
and then did not move she just looked at me. "Ava" I said again but this ... Show more content on

When he sat down with us Ava wanted him to tell her a story so he did as he started to tell the story
Ava laid out across mine and his lap and while he told me and her the story of his wife and why he is
moving back to America " the reason that I am moving back to America is because my wife lived in
America and now she has pasted away I am going to her funeral she was my world and now she is
gone I don't know what I am going to do without her I loved her so much." he went on and on and
on and on until we both finally fell asleep. " Audi Audi! Get up! Get up! I need to go to the
bathroom." So I got up and walked her to the bathroom the line was so long I thought that I would
never get her in there. The line for the girls was right next to the line for the guys and I had my head
down looking at Ava and this man walked up to me he was about 18 the same age as me and he
tapped me on the shoulder and said " Hi my name is George is this your daughter?" I looked at her
with tears and my eyes and replied " no I am only 18 years old this is my sister her name is Ava and
my name is Audi." he stood there for a second and then spoke once again " do you care that if we

Breakaway Fire : A Short Story : The Story Of A Story
I was down at the Breakaway Bar with my cousins, Frank Many Horses and Lester Fallsapart,
telling many stories –even though no one actually listens to what I have to say until they hear
something they may find a bit interesting. All of a sudden we heard sirens. Everyone around here
gets excited about it. The sirens mean that we can take action and be a hero, so Lester, Frank, and I
are started to make our way to the place that was ablaze. As soon as we got to the scene of the fire
we had realized that it was Rosemary MorningDove's home. Frank ManyHorses, who is rumored to
be the father of her son, immediately knew that James was in the home. James immediately ran into
the home to save James. By the time that Frank was able to reach him there was no way that they
could have made it out alive, so Frank threw him out of the window while assuming that someone
was there to catch him.
I ran, galloping toward James and the burning building. I could not help but break free, let my wings
spread and go diving in for the baby boy. Unfortunately, just as I dived for the child As he fell into
my arms it felt as if I had known him for a lifetime. It was as if we had a past– in which we would
exchange our stories and tell them all to the young children. It seemed as though I had known him as
a man who spent his time lecturing others and making it a point to let others know of what was
going on in the world. Of course no body would ever believe me if I told them that James was one

Outcasts In The Metamorphosis By Franz Kafka
Your voice. Hair. Clothes. Body shape. Ethnicity. Family. Money. All things that will decide whether
or not society will make or break you. Social groups and even the world today can be so demanding
and demeaning when it comes to fitting it. It is so easy to fall off the social pyramid and be labeled
as an "outcast" now–a–days. Many believe that an outcast is just someone who is primarily
misunderstood, or misjudged. But in all reality, an outcast can be anyone on a very large spectrum of
people. According the Webster's Dictionary, an outcast is "a person who has been rejected by society
or social group." For example, in Franz Kafka's short story, "The Metamorphosis", the protagonist,
Gregor Samsa is totally rejected by his family for a very odd and out of the blue reason.
A huge, big, large, verminous dung beetle. That is what Gregor Samsa has been transformed into. It
is hard to believe that he was put into isolation because he was a misunderstood or misjudged bug.
No. They labeled him as an outcast and pushed him into "his room, a regular human room, only a ...

Take Nicholas Sparks' novel, "A Walk To Remember." A young girl who dresses in long dresses, and
old leather shoes gets made fun of everyday for being a Jesus freak and being known as a nerd or
geek is feeling like an outcast. She no longer trusts anyone that tries to comfort her. She stood out
from the rest and society rejected her. She wasn't misunderstood, because everyone knew who she
was, and that is exactly the reason they put her through torment and things that no human being
should have to go through. At one point she meets a guy and he tries so hard to be with her, but she
has lost all trust so things are going nowhere. At the end of the story she passes away, and everyone
is now feeling sorry and terrible for the wrongs they did to

The History Of Product Design

  • 1. The History Of Product Design The history of product design is a fickle subject. Through the years, the wheel has been invented and re–invented many a time. That is because design is fluid. But at the same time, design is constant. Often the past inspires the present. Even more, the ideas of what the future can hold can end up creating the future of design. These design ideas can be seen trickling into both the works of Vico Magistretti and James Dyson. Often it is said that no one creates anything new anymore. It is true that you can't reinvent the wheel, but it can certainly be seen that designs from the past often inspire the future of design. Designs by Vico Magistretti in the 20th–century have similar aesthetics to the designs of James Dyson, a 21st–century inventor, and designer. Designs of James Dyson show that the present is rooted in the past. Designs and products of Vico Magistretti show that simple designs are timeless. Designs and products of James Dyson show that basic design philosophies are often repeated through time. Vico Magistretti is best known not just as an industrial designer, but as an architect as well. It actually seems like a natural combination. Even Frank Lloyd Wright is known to have designed the entire living experience surrounding his architectural planning. While Magistretti did not so far as to even design the clothes the homeowners were to wear, it only makes sense that Magistretti would envision his designs housed within yet another one of his designs. ... • 3. A Trip To South Carolina Essay We have now begun on our journey to South Carolina. I can't wait to arrive, though I am worried about the travel there. When we first set out, father spoke with James, Elizabeth, and I. He finally thought it was time to tell us about Lexington and Concord, I don't think he knows I know so much about it already. Though he told us some things I was not aware of. He said that, even though the colonists lost so many men they still considered the battle a victory. This confused and surprised me, they thought this because they took a stand and upset King George the third. And turns out that these two battles had started a revolutionary war! So the colonist are currently fighting for there freedom from the British. Then we held a makeshift funeral we laid him in the hole we had dug last night. From there we all spoke out and said what he meant to us and how we will miss him. Father then began filling in the whole. As he did so, we all had one big group hug. It will take all of us time to move forward but we will get there. We now continue our journey, leaving little ol' Will behind. He will be missed. Ok, so it has been days since I wrote last. I know it might seem weird that I am not starting another, but I never officially ended this entry. Anyway, I have been informed that we shall be arriving in South Carolina by nightfall. Though I am truly hoping they can put money differences behind them. Miles, Alice, Ann, and Elizabeth were all running alongside the wagon playing tag. The mass murder that was happening in the states of the New England region was the center of the discussion in the Boston FBI field office building. Officer Alecia Harrison was sitting silently in the room while the roars of the others burdened her ears. It was a late night and the agents were talking all at once about their opinions on the situation. She sighed, looked around the room and shouted over the silence for everyone to be quiet. The individuals in the room grew silent as they looked at the young woman who had just interrupted their banter. "Listen, this isn't helping the situation. The young woman opened up her door and immediately felt that sense of uneasiness again even though her home was full of light. She could hear the water running in the bathroom and figured that her boyfriend, James, was just taking his usual night shower. She went into the kitchen to get a quick drink of water. As she drank the cool liquid she felt an immense feeling of relief. She advanced toward the bathroom. She walked down the hallway heading towards the closed bathroom door. Alecia felt a sense of panic and anxiety when she felt her foot become slightly submerged in a liquid on the floor. She flung the bathroom door open and felt her throat tighten at the scene. Her loving boyfriend was laying in the bathtub clearly dead with the water overflowing over the sides of the tub. His eyes were glazed over, looking almost made out of glass, and his skin had started to become discolored. Letting out a guttural scream, she ran to the side of the tub and tried to lift him out. • 9. My Beauty Of Life As I walked into freshman year I was by no means expecting to lose connection with myself on the way. I recall walking home after long days at school, absorbing my surroundings. Breathing in the sweet air as the calm breeze hit my face. Thinking to myself that this walk home was the only time I have anymore to just think and be myself. See I'm the type of person to go outside spending hours sitting, doing absolutely nothing. Just to assimilate the beauty of life. Time, space, me, my spirit, and my thoughts. I am not saying going to school is a bad thing, but it shouldn't be organized in a way of programming children. Disconnecting them from themselves; pulling them apart like string cheese. Without peace within, you cannot accomplish peace outside. Gandhi once said, " If we want to reach real peace in this world, we should start educating children." When he says this I don't envision he means a classroom full of innocent children being programmed with math, reading, writing and the sciences. How many students are actually going to benefit from knowing how to transform a parabola? Yes, those things are important. However, a child's mental health overrules by far. When I read that quote I see a classroom full of children playing, having fun, and learning to discover themselves through making friendships. How can a child genuinely learn anything about themselves and the earth they walk on if their little heads are constantly being crammed full of academics? They can't, and this system is twisted. Through my experience, I would say high school is most guilty of this corrupt system. Although, you can begin to watch it arise starting in elementary school. As I move my way up the ladder into community college, I feel like I'm being allowed to slowly breathe again. Although not yet entirely, the feeling of being trapped is fading away. Hopefully, my journey will continue to present this freedom. Going to a larger 4–year university or college is not in my main interest because I ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Pros And Cons Of Trump Second and more importantly, the office of the Presidency of the United States requires not just a man of intelligence (which Trump also lacks), but also a man of dignity, honor, morality, and righteousness, because he'll be making decisions which demand such qualities. He'll preside over our troops and elect court justices. He'll have veto power, address and represent our nation, and have the ability to evoke executive privilege. To belittle these realities by stating that those who oppose Trump do so because they just scrupulously want to elect a born–again Christian is frankly dishonest "straw–man" rhetoric at its worst. • 17. Descriptive Essay On The Curse "The Curse Which Still Lived" It was a depressing and grey afternoon. James had just turned twenty–five, and as adventurous as he was, he anxiously waited for a task. Next thing he knew, he has found himself scrolling on an LED screen which entranced him as if he knew nothing more. There he sat, alone in his dusty old room looking through various websites for interesting locations near him. His fingers stopped with a jerk. A picture of a castle intrigued him as he stared at the blinding screen. The location was on an island north of Canada, only about an hour and a half from his hometown near Nunavut. Four words caught his eyes underneath the section titled "Description". " The curse never dies," it wrote. This didn't deter James in the slightest. The next morning James pulled himself out of bed and got ready. The day was bright and warm with very few clouds in the sky; the fresh scents of summer filled his nostrils as he prepared to embark on this adventure. For one hour and thirty minutes James drove through the constant stretch of road until he reached something. It was a boat ramp, but something was off. The ramp had been consumed by the elements of nature and time and floating near the ramp was an old wooden paddle boat engraved with the words "Katherine Rogers" on the side. It seemed to have been there only a couple weeks. James carefully boarded the small paddle boat and made his way north, where at a distance, a island could be spotted with a castle–like structure ... • 25. How Did James Madison Build The Constitution James Madison, also known as the Father of the Constitution, was one of the many remarkable men in American history. He, along with many others, fought bravely for the existence of the United States of America whether it was by the sword or by the pen. However, another obstacle stood in the way of this newborn country; a government. Creating the Constitution would be a whole conflict in itself, but it was one that James Madison knew would benefit the nation in the end. There were many hindrances that came in between the Constitution such as the Anti–federalists, a weak Articles of Confederation, and also the fact that the people had just escaped a previous cruel monarchy. However, James Madison was able to overcome them all. The first and foremost difficulty that James Madison and the rest of the nation faced in creating this Constitution was the escape from overpowering monarchy. After fighting this impossible war and miraculously becoming victorious, the people wanted the exact opposite of a Constitution. The colonies of the United States wanted to govern themselves how they pleased and to avoid a federal government altogether. James Madison along with the rest of the Federalists knew that this would not be able to keep the country in balance. If everyone had freedoms ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Me being in first grade, a regular Wednesday was to wake up at 8 a.m. to my father turning on my lights, and spiritedly but annoyingly singing, "Wake up, wake up!" Wincing at the light and my father's terrible voice, I was always able to wake up in order to shut him up. However, the most memorable part of this day was not during school but rather what happened later that day at home. It was my father's birthday. My father was turning 33 and my mom had a little surprise for our family. To this day, I am not too sure whether my father knew it was happening or not, but my mom walked in through the front door holding a 10lb cream–colored standard poodle. My mom placed her on the dining room table; tail– wagging, tongue out, and super energized. Standing there in awe due to pure shock and astonishment, it was a moment I will always remember. I met my first true best–friend. It wasn't just some friend though, this dog became my family. Chelsea was the smartest dog I knew, being able to understand our commands (In Russian of course, as we spoke that at home) at the age of 2. I was able to teach it hand commands, like raising my hand in front of me as if telling someone to stop, which signaled sit. Lay down was me waving my hand down, as if petting a dog in a vertical motion. Chelsea was a one of a kind dog to say the least, bringing joy and comfort to a growing family. Not only is this a list of US Presidents but it is also a list of three of the most well–known Founding Fathers. Yes, they have their reasons to be because each one of them have numerous achievements and have accomplished many things that others have not. But one Founding Father often over looked, and not just because he stands five feet four inches tall, is James Madison. With all due respect, James Madison has accomplishments that stand just as well against the test of time. James Madison to me is one of the most important Founding Fathers. Please allow me to explain why I chose Mr. James Madison, the background and upbringing of him, some of his most notable contributions to the Unites States and why those contributions are still important today. The reason I chose James Madison over the rest of the Founding Fathers is because I believe he isn't as well–known as he should be and with that being said, would like to inform you about him. Madison has accomplished many great things in his life that have had an effect on the United States as we know it today. Undoubtedly the biggest contribution that Madison made to the United States of America was the he was the author of the draft that was used to create the Constitution and without the constitution there really wouldn't be a frame of government. Another reason I chose James Madison is because he fought for religious freedom, believing it was an individual's right from ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

He focused on the ethical development of kids and how they mature the wisdom of right, justice, and wrong. Kohlberg noted that teenagers underwent certain phases during moral growth. Through his observations, he developed a theory that human beings develop from one phase to another through an invariant pattern, not missing any stage. His conclusions have been proven by critical cultural studies conducted throughout the world. These phases were at levels known as pre–conventional, conventional and post–conventional morality. They trust that individuals should obey the beliefs of the family and the society and act well at all times. Having good behavior typically means that a person should have respectable reasons and good personal feelings such as trust (Kohlberg, 1971). Stage Four: Maintaining the Social Order At this phase, a person should reason when interacting with the family members and close friends. One should make an effort of understanding the needs and wants of others and attempt to help. Respondents at this phase are more anxious with the whole society. They put more importance in observing laws and carrying out duties that ensure social order is upheld (Kohlberg & Kramer, 1969). For example, individuals should reason on the possible effects of breaking the law before doing so. For instance, it could probably lead to chaos rejecting the functioning of society. Level Four: Post–conventional Morality Stage Five: Social Contract and Individual Rights At stage five, individuals aim at ensuring that the community keeps performing. Nevertheless, a society functioning smoothly is not essentially the best because a society needs to be well structured. Stage five focuses on the components of a healthy society and those at this stage think of the community in a theoretical way by considering the values and rights that the society ought to maintain (Kohlberg, 1971). I had high hopes for my new school, Maranatha Private School, which ended up being the most wretched hive of scum and villainy in southern California. I didn't get much sleep the night before my first day and I was the quiet, shy kid who had but two friends. I barely made it to class on time as the teacher began taking attendance. Slowly she passed over the names until she reached mine. "Brandon Ham–hamburger, Hembijner?" I sat slumped in my seat, my face redder than a freshly picked tomato. The only thing I wanted in that moment was to be home watching Netflix, away from all of these unfamiliar faces trying to figure me out. 'Dear God, I know you're there so just hear me out real quick alright?' I thought to myself, 'Please just get me out of this one little thing.' Call it coincidence, but I think this was a little bit more than that. At the exact moment when I was about to correct the teacher, the PA system came on: "Teachers, please report to the gym with your class for the start of the year assembly." All the attention was taken off of me and I began to think that this year may not be so bad... I was sorely mistaken. As we sat down in the bleachers for the assembly I heard a "Hey, hamburger." "Babe, you ready to go to breakfast?" His wife said as she brushed her teeth. "Sure honey" he quickly responded as he came behind her and kissed the top of her head. He put on a bathing suit and a t–shirt so that right after breakfast he could go to the beach. At breakfast he was amazed with all the options that were available. The delicious foods overloaded his brain and had no idea what to get. Looking carefully and closely at his options he decided what to get. French Toast. His favorite. As he carefully selected his ... • 57. Demonic Memory-Personal Narrative The whispers I never did anything to make it come. Never played the demonic games, never asked if Charlie was here, never talked into the mirror, but it still came, or perhaps it was always watching me. Sometimes I still hear the whispers in my mind, when I was a child I told my mother about the voices but she never believed me, no one does. Now I'm stuck in this special place for the insane, but I'm not insane, I just tell the truth. If they were there that night horrible night they would understand. It was a frigid October morning as I got into the bus. I sat next to the humble girl from my Language Arts class and pulled out my agenda that was smeared with Sharpie from when it used to say Margaret Harris, 8th grade. It was a normal school day until I looked out the window and saw a man that appeared to be looking straight at me from a far distance, and then the whispers started. Until that day the whispers were just chaotic, jumbles of words that I could never comprehend, but today was different. The whispers grew loud in my head as I stared at the man and just one word repeated in my head...... until. The rest of the day I pondered what the word could have meant that was running through my skull. When I got home my little sister was acting quite unusual. She usually sits at the table and does her homework or eats a snack, but that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 59. College Admissions Essay: Equal Opportunity To The... Most of us don't appreciate what we have and despise those who have what we can't afford. Growing up, my parents rarely denied me new toys, but subconsciously, I knew I should not ask for unnecessary items. Up to this day, I don't remember a time when I bought something without asking myself multiple times, "How much do I really need this?" This is because my family has never been in a financial position in which we could afford anything and everything we wanted. Just like Mark Twain said, "I am opposed to millionaires, but it would be dangerous to offer me that position," I personally would not be able to handle the responsibility which comes with having money at easy disposal because of how I was raised. For the first nine years of my life, I lived in Belarus. My family would've been considered to be middle–class at the time. We didn't struggle, but there was always the desire to make more money. In 2009, we won the lottery for the greencard to come to the United States, and "the green card was a passport to the American Dream" (Zakaria 468). Leaving everything and everyone behind, we packed our suitcases and came to Strongsville, OH. The college degrees that my parents got in Belarus did not transfer here, so my parents had to ... Maybe the reason I oppose millionaires is because my family was never rich. I would sometimes wish that my parents could afford more things, but as long as I had a roof over my head and three meals on the table, I was grateful for their hard work. If tomorrow I suddenly became a millionaire, I would not know what to do with all of the money, since I'm used to limiting myself to the necessary items. The right people will be drawn to you no matter how rich or poor you are, because a person's worth is much more than just their ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

All I wanted to do was cry. Not from pain but from the feeling of aloneness and the terror that I felt. My eyes were ready to release all emotions. But I couldn't do it, I wouldn't allow it. My brothers needed me to be strong and I had to show them that I was not scared. I had to show them that everything will be fine and it was all normal. Besides I couldn't feel the pain in my arm. Which actually kind of worried me. But what was I supposed to do? I am a nine year old who has a broken arm. My mom who was there with her friends passed out. I didn't know how to react. I just sat there. I was speechless. Maybe if I was a little bit more patient and dried myself, I wouldn't have broken my arm. Or maybe if I just was wasn't stupid and acted like a mature person maybe my mom wouldn't have fainted. Who knows, but July 11, 2011 was and is a day for the books. • 69. Misogynist Role In Ian Fleming's Casino Royale George Bernard Shaw once said "Women upset everything. When you let them into your life, you find that the woman is driving at one thing and you're driving at another" (Swan, 2017). In spy fiction, particularly James Bond novels, women are seen as less superior to the males and seem to be used as sexualized objects. Ian Fleming's novel Casino Royale illustrates how the effect of a relationship can affect a man's perspective towards women. According to Terrance Klein's article "UNBREAKABLE BOND: Fifty years of 007", she makes a statement that Bond used "Women for recreation...they get in the way and fog things up" (Terrance, 2012) in order to theorize that women in the James Bond series were only for personal use and nothing significant. The quote given by Klein is applied in Casino Royale, however in Casino Royale Bond seems to have more intimacy with Vesper, but because of the way his relationship with his female counterpart turns out, it seems to shape James Bond into a misogynist in Fleming's following ... Misogyny is a prominent discourse in spy fiction, however the novel Casino Royale is setting up Bond's misogynist character once James realizes the truth about how his relationships with women will eventually lead to if he becomes intimate with them. Breakaway Fire : A Short Story : The Story Of A Story I was down at the Breakaway Bar with my cousins, Frank Many Horses and Lester Fallsapart, telling many stories –even though no one actually listens to what I have to say until they hear something they may find a bit interesting. All of a sudden we heard sirens. Everyone around here gets excited about it. The sirens mean that we can take action and be a hero, so Lester, Frank, and I are started to make our way to the place that was ablaze. As soon as we got to the scene of the fire we had realized that it was Rosemary MorningDove's home. Frank ManyHorses, who is rumored to be the father of her son, immediately knew that James was in the home. James immediately ran into the home to save James. By the time that Frank was able to reach him there was no way that they could have made it out alive, so Frank threw him out of the window while assuming that someone was there to catch him. I ran, galloping toward James and the burning building. I could not help but break free, let my wings spread and go diving in for the baby boy. Unfortunately, just as I dived for the child As he fell into my arms it felt as if I had known him for a lifetime. Social groups and even the world today can be so demanding and demeaning when it comes to fitting it. It is so easy to fall off the social pyramid and be labeled as an "outcast" now–a–days. Many believe that an outcast is just someone who is primarily misunderstood, or misjudged. But in all reality, an outcast can be anyone on a very large spectrum of people. According the Webster's Dictionary, an outcast is "a person who has been rejected by society or social group." For example, in Franz Kafka's short story, "The Metamorphosis", the protagonist, Gregor Samsa is totally rejected by his family for a very odd and out of the blue reason. A huge, big, large, verminous dung beetle. That is what Gregor Samsa has been transformed into. It is hard to believe that he was put into isolation because he was a misunderstood or misjudged bug.
