Coreguaje is the term Hispanicized

located is the south of Caquetá
department in Milan municipality in “el
resguardo de agua negra”. They
traditionally lived in one community
under the leadership of a traditional
doctor.
The Korebaju were nomadic
people, inhabited a vast territory that
included unlimited Amazon River known
as Ujacha chiacha or large river they
were traveling, then cross the Caguan
river (bekacha) or the yarumos River.
Then they settled in a place known as
"Tres Esquinas Orteguaza" name still
remains. Many years later, they moved to
the Putumayo river or Katucha translates
Cane River Brava. Then, they went to the
river or river Jaocha leaf until the
Chijaicha as the Black Water River is
known today, Santa Maria or Medio
Mundo. There they lived for several years
and then move to a place known as
Jerumano by the Orteguaza River from
where they move to Guamal by the river
Bodoquero.
