Cooperative work: Students will work cooperatively while acting the dialogue out in pairs. They
need to listen and pay attention to their partners´ performances in order to vote later.
Possible problems / difficulties and their possible solutions during the class:
- Students may have problems to understand some instructions or what the teacher says. I will
paraphrase the instruction using gestures and miming.
- Some students may be shy to speak aloud. I will stay near them in order to make them feel
confident.
Potential problems students may have with the language:
- Students may not understand a question, so I will guide them pointing modelling the answer first.
- Some students may have problems to pronounce certain words or sounds. I will ask them to
repeat the words several times and to listen carefully to the way I pronounce them (how I use my
lips, teeth or tongue).
Assessment: I will check that students comprehend and understand by listening to them during
their participation in class. I will also take into account their fluency and their ability to communicate
while acting the dialogue out.

Each pair of students will go to the front and role-play the dialogue. As they are 21 students, there
will be nine pairs and one group of three students. After all students go to the front, we will all vote
for the best dialogue. I will give a special prize to the winners and another prize to the rest of the
pairs for working hard. Students will have to listen carefully to their partners while they act out in
order to vote later.
“Congratulations on your hard work!!! All of you have been fantastic! But now we have to vote!”.
I will also tell them that each group to hand in the dialogue after acting it out so that I can assess
their written work too. I will assess how they give advice and use the vocabulary learnt during these
weeks. I will write an encouraging message on their works for the following lesson such as: Excellent
job! Very good! Awesome! Good for you! Way to go!, among others. I will also show their writings to
the local tutor the following lesson so that she can see how they worked and take notes of their
results.
“Now each pair has to hand in the dialogue so that I can check it at home”.
Transition: “You work really nice today!”
Note: The students have already told me that they have an exam on Thursday after the English
lesson, so I will give them some minutes to revise before the break.
