Observations
Nice lesson, Liza! Hope my comments and suggestions are useful. Encourage them to
sing the song, which is really catchy, using a lot of gestures.
Go for it, Liza! Have a nice time.

· Teaching approach or combination of methods / approaches: The class will be based
on PPP (Presentation, practice, production) and on the TPR approach (Total Physical
Response).
· Integration of skills: Listening and speaking.
Students will listen to a song and we will follow commands from the song. By
speaking, students will say aloud the name of wild animals and the numbers.
· Materials and resources: Flashcards of the different numbers, projector for showing
the video of the animals, flashcards with the numbers, a magic box with wild animals

engaging students with the teaching point. Audiovisual materials make the learning
experience more dynamic.
· Seating arrangement: Students will be sitting on the table in a circle, as we move on
with the activities we will move in front of the classroom to say the numbers.
· Assessment: Students will be assessed at every stage to check their understanding on
the activities, the teacher will be monitoring each one of them and encouraging

• Warm – up: 10’
Purpose: To identify numbers from 1 to 5.
The teacher will start by telling students to sit down on the chairs for meeting a new
friend (a puppet). The puppet will be a Lion this time, which will help students to
count the numbers while listening to a song.
T: “Ok students, now, sit down on the chairs. And look! We have another friend here, he is
Mr. Lion, he counts the numbers 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 5”.
The teacher will previously place the cards on the floor, so everybody can look at the
cards of numbers. The Lion will invite students to play a game where students have
to stamp their feet on the numbers the Lion says.
Mr. Lion: “Mmm, I have a game for you, let’s jump on the numbers”
Students have to jump on the flashcards on the floor. They have to count each
number while they’re stepping on them.
30. The flashcards would be similar to this one below:
• Presentation 10’
Purpose: To name wild animals.
After we finish playing the teacher will use the Physical typical response to
encourage students to sit down and look at the magic box, in the magic box there will
be more animal’s animals` puppets. She will show each one of them and the students
will name it, then she’ll put every puppet in the box. The students will listen to the
command and do what the teacher says.
T: “Ok, Lourdes! Come and have a look at the magic box!
Very good!! Now, take the TIGER.
T: Now, Emi. Come and take number 3! Fantastic!!
• Development : 10’
Purpose: To foster contextualized practice of the teaching points.

MASK. The teacher will tell them to color and decorate the animals.
T: “What is your favorite animal?”

T: Great! You’ll have the Lion!
The teacher will make a demonstration first, and probably she’ll invite learners to
