It makes a thick liquid.
5. The thick liquid goes
to the small intestine.
The small intestine
absorbs the nutrients
from the food.
6. The large intestine:
- Stores the matter that
we don’t need (faeces).
- Absorbs water.
7. The faeces are
released through the
anus.
2. The digestive system transforms the food into
nutrients that our body needs:
- Vitamins.
- Carbohydrates.
- Fats.
- Proteins.
- Minerals.
The digestive system gets rid of the matter
that our body doesn’t need.
