Educational data mining (EDM) is one of the applications of data mining. In educational data mining, there are two key domains, i.e. student domain and faculty domain. Different type of research work has been done in both domains. In existing system the faculty performance has calculated on the basis of two parameters i.e. Student feedback and the result of student in that subject. In existing system we define two approaches one is multiple classifier approach and the other is a single classifier approach and comparing them, for relative evaluation of faculty performance using data mining Techniques. In multiple classifier approach K-nearest neighbor (KNN) is used in first step and Rule based classification is used in the second step of classification while in single classifier approach only KNN is used in both steps of classification. But in proposed system, I will analyse the faculty performance using 4 parameters i.e., student complaint about faculty, Student review feedback for faculty, students feedback, and students result etc. For this proposed system I will be going to use opinion mining technique for analyzing performance of faculty and calculating score of each faculty.

This paper reveals the result of 322 distance learners’ perception towards e-learning program conducted by UiTM. Generally the respondents rated above average for all aspects of distance learning program irrespective of gender, program of studies, income and occupation. Students’ gender also did not show any difference in their perception. Similarly, semester of studies too, did not indicate any significant difference except their perception towards lecturer. However students’ semester of studies showed significant difference towards lecturer, module and physical. Gender, income and semester of studies did not show any relationship to students’ perception towards all aspects of distance learning program. However students’ program of studies showed significant relationship towards their perceptions of the program. Students’ CGPA showed negative relationship with all aspects of distance learning program.

The primary goal of this research was to investigate AOU students' conceptions of the quality of online experience through the learning management system in supporting their classroom tutorials. A 32-item questionnaire was administered to a randomly selected sample (205) of Elementary Education students at the AOU Jordan Branch. On one hand, the results showed that the objectives of the courses were very clear to students, online materials on the learning management system were interesting and supported to classroom learning, students preferred online quizzes, the online materials supported key assessment tasks and tutors provided continuous access to relevant information about assessment. On the other hand, the findings revealed that the online materials and e-activities were too loaded for the students to understand thoroughly, and much of the feedback they received from the tutor was not helpful. The results also indicated that there were no statistically significant differences among students’ views of BL or their overall satisfaction of the online experience that could be attributed to gender or academic achievement level. Results suggest some pedagogical implications for tutors and programmer coordinators.

The Hybrid-Flexible (HyFlex) design model is a course design model that combines Hybrid learning in a Flexible way, such that students can either attend face-to-face class sessions, participate online or do both (i.e. alternate between face-to-face mode and online mode), according to their needs and availability, without learning deficits. Student satisfaction and learning outcomes (i.e. academic performance) should be the same regardless of the mode they choose. The aim of this study is to address these issues. A total of 376 students enrolled in a HyFlex information systems course responded to an online questionnaire. One-way ANOVA tests results revealed that no significant differences were found between students who chose different delivery modes on satisfaction, multiple choice test, and written exam scores. However, significant differences were observed on continuous assessment scores. The discussion relates to the importance of conducting other studies on this particular design model.

Assessment is one of the most critical dimensions in engineering education process it focuses not only on identifying how many of the predefined education goals and objectives outcomes have been achieved but also works as a feedback component for educators to upgrade their teaching practices. The assessment can be seen as a link that it forms with other education processes. Lamprianou et al. 2009 point out that assessment is associated with the educational objectives of "evaluation, diagnosis, guidance, selection, placement, administration, prediction or grading. Assessment is one main factors that contribute to a high quality teaching and learning environment and student's performance as whole. It also makes clearer what teachers expect from students Biggs et al., 1999 . The perceived difficulty in this process is how assessment system, approaches and schemes can be standardized and adapted across the premier institutes NITs of in the country. Credit system has been used widely by many HEIs in India for over 20 years but no nationally agreed and rationalized framework of credit and Credit Transfer and Accumulation System is developed. The purpose of the literature review is to outline research studies in the assessment and evaluation systems being practicedand to highlight the studies that can be used in the research project undertaken. Specifically, the literature review attempts to address the following research questions What researches are undertaken nationally and internationally into the assessment system in higher education, especially engineering education What are the key findings from these researches What are the limits delimitations of these researches Are there research findings could be applied to engineering education at UG in NITs in India Are there any prime concern for future research in this area From this literature review, it is apparent that a very few number of studies have been conducted in higher education institutions but no research was found in the context of Engineering Education specific to UG programmes and NITs. However, many innovations are on the way to improvise the assessment and evaluation mechanisms in the engineering education especially in the context of Outcome Based Education OBE . J. P. Supporting the goal of higher education to produce graduation who will be a professional leader is a crucial. Most of universities implement intelligent information system (IIS) to support in achieving their vision and mission. One of the features of IIS is student performance prediction. By implementing data mining model in IIS, this feature could precisely predict the student’ grade for their enrolled subjects. Moreover, it can recognize at-risk students and allow top educational management to take educative interventions in order to succeed academically. In this research, multi-regression model was proposed to build model for every student. In our model, learning management system (LMS) activity logs were computed. Based on the testing result on big students datasets, courses, and activities indicates that these models could improve the accuracy of prediction model by over 15%.

The study investigated statistical analysis of the main, Joint and individual effects of Kolawole’s Problem Solving (KPS) and conventional teaching methods (CM) on the academic performance and retention of senior secondary school students in Mathematics in Ekiti State, Nigeria. The study also sought to find out whether teaching Mathematics with KPS method is gender and location biased. The study adopted quasi-experimental pretest and post-test research design. The population of the study consisted of all senior secondary schools students in Ekiti State Nigeria. A sample of 400 students were randomly selected from 8 local Government Areas of Ekiti State. Intact classes in each school were randomly selected from each of the 8 Local Government Areas putting into consideration gender and locations of the schools. The results of study showed that all this sample students were homogeneous at the commencement of the study. There were main, joint and individual significant teaching effects of the Kolawole’s Problem Solving (KPS) and conventional methods on academic performance, and retention of senior secondary school students in Mathematics. Also, there was no significant difference in the academic performance and retention of students in rural and Urban Areas and also between male and female students. Based on the findings it could be concluded that KPS is an effective method while conventional method improves and contributed positively towards the academic performance and retention of the students but ineffective method of teaching Mathematics’ KPS method is more effective and students retained more knowledge than convectional method (CM). Finally, KPS method of instruction is neither location nor gender biased. Based on the above findings, KPS method should be adopted as an effective method of teaching Mathematics) in Senior Secondary Schools in order to improve teaching, learning, solving and evaluation skills of the Mathematics teachers as well as those of Mathematics students. Furthermore, seminars and workshops should be organized on KPS for the teachers for effective teaching,-learning,-solving, and evaluation of Mathematics.

Background/Objectives: While the increase in classroom technology, it is necessary to examine how assessment is administered through technology. The purpose of this study is to understand how students and faculty are perceived and examine the effectiveness of the computer-based assessment in professional education courses (Educational Technology) at Northern Iloilo Polytechnic State College, Iloilo, Philippines. Methods: The research design utilized in this study is mixed-method research. A computer-based assessment was utilized to assess students' performance in educational technology. This instrument was validated, and pilot tested to establish reliability. Each campus of NIPSC selected ten students of 70 as respondents during Academic Year 2016-2017. Frequency count, mean, standard deviation, and Wilcoxon signed-rank test were statistical tools used for data analyses. Findings: The study's finding showed a high score of students in the posttest ensured better performance of the students in educational technology. The increase in the posttest per performance level of the students was due to an accurate measure of what they have learned in educational technology. The majority of students users agreed that online assessment was fasters than the paper and pencil form. Also, users agreed that online assessment is contemporary and more systematic. They also stated that online assessment is consistent with the teaching style, but they are less anxious. Furthermore, according to faculty and students, ninety percent (90%) believed that computer-based assessment accurately measures what they are teaching and what they learned in school, respectively. Novelty: With the current situation that the education system is in new normal, computer-based learning is important in flexible learning. And assessment using technology is a great help to both faculty and students. Thus, state universities and colleges (SUCs) should adopt this innovation to help teaching and learning.
