The survey aimed to determine the interests of different audience demographics to help market film trailers. It found that the target audience was 16-19 year olds. Popular genres included horror/thriller and romantic comedies. Respondents expected trailers to be interesting, feature good acting, and be short and memorable. People were attracted to films and trailers by the actors, music, and storyline. Common magazines read were about films and games. Film posters attracted people through the actors and title. Popular social media included YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
