2. The first thing that I found was typical to all
movie trailers was that it normally involves all
of the main characters that are in the film and
shows them to the audience. The movie trailer
also shows the main scenery that is normally
going to be used in the movie itself.
3. When I was researching for my media project I
watched several horror movie trailers and from
these I found that most trailers try not to reveal
much of the plot so it pulls you in so you go
and watch the film in the cinema. Another
conventional thing that I found out when I was
researching was that in most horror trailers
they involve scenes of intense violence or
screaming which keeps the audience enticed.
4. From my ancillary task I found out that on the
front of most movie magazines have a main cover
line that shows what featured film is going to be in
the issue. Also when the magazine has a featured
film it shows a close-up of the main characters in
the film.
While doing my ancillary I learnt about the
different things that the posters used it entice the
audience in. the first was that most movie posters
have the names of the main characters above them
on the poster the second point was that the
posters don’t normally give away any information
about the movie.
5. The target audience of my media product is
young adults because these are people that go
and watch films more often than most other
ages of people. Also by aiming at this target
audience it means that I can put all the ideas
that appeal to me because I fit into this
category.
6. The only way that I am going to create a
successful movie trailer is to include all of the
things that I have found out about when I was
researching about horror movies. One of these
things is that they need to include things such
as the main locations in the film and the main
characters in the movie. And the main way of
getting people to come and watch the film is to
have the trailer end on a cliff-hanger.
