Yes, they’re.
Two reasons we CANNOT use (positive) contractions at the end of the sentence (ex.
“Yes, I’m.”), because contractions are a WEAK FORM.
1) When something is left out at the end of a statement, you cannot end the
statement with a weak form (I’m/you’re)
2) When something is stressed at the end of the sentence you cannot replace it with
the weak form.

BUT the negative word “not” follows directly after the verb in negative form. So the
weak form is not at the end of the statement.
Ex. Are you ready?
