21. Two reasons we CANNOT use (positive) contractions at the end of the sentence (ex.
“Yes, I’m.”), because contractions are a WEAK FORM.
1) When something is left out at the end of a statement, you cannot end the
statement with a weak form (I’m/you’re)
2) When something is stressed at the end of the sentence you cannot replace it with
the weak form.
