1. Small history is a compilation of the
unremarkable.
It embraces true life – the grand everyday that
would not gather “likes,” blow your mind nor
catch your eye.
The unremarkable is life in its true beauty.
The unremarkable is noted only once it’s gone.
2. The National Chronicle
Reflects the present and reminisces the past.
including
STORIES because living history is narrated.
OBSERVATIONS because the unremarkable
need not constitute a story.
PHOTOS because in a visual culture like ours,
stories can be narrated by pictures.
3. Let’s celebrate the unremarkable on a grand
scale.
Set and promote dates, when people would
contribute to the Chronicle en masse.
Excite people to take a small part in mapping
the unremarkable of our times.
4. #Narodnikronika9.30
A campaign to make the largest number of
people possible to snap a photo of whatever
they see and do on a set date at 9.30am.
Have well-known and respected people take
part.
The gallery of everyday emerges.
5. Set and promote four days annually, when
people should contribute to NCh.
Stories, observations, poems, photos etc.,
while having some ready by notable Czechs to
motivate others.
Have an unremarkable topic each time:
LUNCH
WEEKEND AT THE COTTAGE
COMMUTING TO WORK
6. Museum Night and Cameras
Museum nights are the most widely visited
museum events in CZ.
Let’s distribute NCh-branded single-use
cameras (10 000) to whoever wants them and
make them our chronicles at large.
The films can be developed at National
Museum branches and incorporated to NCh.
7. A Day in Life
Contact and ask 20 significant Czechs to
contribute a single diary record for the NCh.
A deal with a significant media outlet (economia)
allows for a weekly publication of these.
Promotional book can be compiled.
8. Media
National Museum Façade
Denik regional daily
Publishing house cooperation
Facebook / social networks
Posters
Museum branches all over CZ
Activation for National Chronicle set dates and an
outlet for stories.
