3. How we define ourselves
Since 1997 The Day has accompanied all main state building
processes in Ukraine.
Our task is to contribute to the strengthening of Ukrainian identity and
the formation of European Ukraine. We can say that since the end of
1990s the newspaper took over the work of civil society, which did not
exist in the country at that time.
