What is the organisation
 Organisation is the foundation upon which the
whole structure of management is built.
Organisation is related with developing a frame
work where the total work is divided into
manageable components in order to facilitate the
achievement of objectives or goals.
 a group of individuals, large or small, that is
cooperating under the direction of executive
leadership in accomplishment of certain common
object.”
What is the change
 Process through which something becomes
different or to make something different.
 The process of causing a function, practice, or
thing to become different some how compared
to what it is at present or what it was in the
past.
What is OC
 Organisation change is the process by which
an organisation move from present state to
desire future state for increasing effectiveness.
 When any organisation disturbed by external
or internal forces then have to change in
organisation.
The domain of change
 Business Process - how we can improve the business processes
which will then grow the productivity of the organization?
 Organization - how to change the human dimension in terms of
user roles, knowledge and match to support the target business
goals?
 Location - what should be addressed in the locations strategy to
effectively distribute the business process, people and
technology?
 Data - how we should structure the information to meet the
requirements of the technology and business?
 Application - what is ideal structure of applications eco-system
used inside the organization?
 Technology - how the software, hardware and networks should
be aligned with business requirements?
Change agent:
 A person in the organisation responsible for
managing change activities.
 Anyone who has skill and power to coordinate
the change effort.
 A change agent is someone who act deliberately
on the environment in order to bring about
specific change.
 It may be employee, management or outsider.
Strategic management of
change
 is the process of managing change in a
structured, thoughtful way in order to meet
organizational goals, objectives, and
missions. Change is necessary for
organizations to continue to thrive and meet
and exceed the competition of industry

entail installing new equipment, restructuring
the organization, implementing a new
performance appraisal system- anything that
alters existing relationships or activities
