Hyperloop is a proposed method of travel that would transport passengers in low-pressure capsules through a tube elevated above the ground at both low and high speeds averaging 598 mph and with a top speed of 760 mph. Passengers would enter and exit the Hyperloop system at stations located at either end of the tube or at branches along the tube, with a proposed route connecting Los Angeles and San Francisco following existing highways and incorporating stations in the median.

• A Hyperloop would be "an elevated, reduced-pressure
tube that contains pressurized capsules driven within
the tube by a number of linear electric motors.”
• This system can achieve an average speed of 598 mph
(962 km/h), and a top speed of 760 mph (1,220 km/h).

8. Hyperloop consists of a low pressure tube with capsules that are transported at
both low and high speeds throughout the length of the tube.
