Fonts, Colours, Images, Pictures and Inspiration
Creating a brand identity and cohesive image is essential to being successful in the music industry, so with
my artist I wanted to create a unique representation whilst still conforming to the indie genre and its
conventions. I wanted my artist to come across as humble and easily relatable for the audience, as I feel
that's what indie music is about. This is done through the content and meaning of the lyrics in the songs,
being about love and relationships as opposed to money and glamour lifestyle which would alienate the
target audience. The pictures shown in the mood board are examples of inspiration that link to my
production as a whole in some form; these include artistic and musical influences. I have include a contrast
of bright and colourful picture with that of monochrome and sad connoting pictures as both of these
opposing emotions are explored across my productions.
