2. Process
This animation is of a scary ghost game set in a prison
and u play as a prisoner. I tried giving a unique simplistic
character design to suit the pixelated game. I gave him a
a prison boiler suit as it gives the character some story
without showing it. The setting is very dark a through
the torch light u can see it’s a setting of a prison which
gives a very creepy and eerie look. I kept with the ghost
idea as at the start I had added a creepy ghost that
disappears. You can see I tried a horror aspect with the
blood and the darkness. The genre of the game is a side
scroll investigating game. I showed this by adding a
torch and a trail of blood. The ghost disappearing adds
mystery. To make this I used the paint, pencil, rubber,
magic wand, zoom, duplicate and the animation tools.
To animate the charter I constantly duplicated each
layer to keep it constant. I dragged the ghost closer and
stopped adding more layers of it showing that it has
disappeared. To make the character seemed confused I
flipped his character as well as the dark background as
the torch light has to follow and then flipped them
back. I then turned the torch light on an off by covering
the background black.
3. Reflection
• What elements of your experiments will you include in
your final product? Refer to the brief: Ghost Game
– Not many things will relate to my project however some
things will such as the side angel of the setting and
characters. This would be very similar to the battling
aspect to my game as it will be a fighting game. The
character design will be very similar to my final characters
however this aspect will only be In the battling sections
and the exploration parts will be an over head view. The
artistic setting will also work as I want my final project to
be unique and artistic. My final game will be for kids so It
wont have gore and scary aspects like my ghost game.
