5. I want a homely
environment of
which to shoot
the story part of
the video in. For
performance I
plan to use a
plain background
scheme; like the
school’s drama
room or the
school’s gallery. I
would prefer the
setting from
Chandelier or
something
similar.
7. Synopsis
My idea for the video is a girl that struggles
with her appearance and insecurities and by
the end of the video has overcome them in
a fight sequence.
Lyric Video
11. Goodwin + Concept
I want the beat and some lyrics to be synchronous to
the song (music + lyrics in video). The voyeurism will
be used by the use of the mirror. There will be close
ups of the band playing (influence from record label).
Intertextuality will be a similar shot from a tv show
damages (the song was used for the title sequence)
and evanescence’s everybody’s fool video (she hits
+ breaks the mirror). For genre conventions I plan for
my band to dress as stated earlier, as for style of the
music video I plan for it to be gritty and maybe
desaturated or in black and white. I plan for the
music video story element to be in a dirty grungy
location like in the music video Chandelier.
