Masthead
The mast head will be featured in the top right corner of the page, it will contain the name of the product as
well as that of an encouragement word within it, the most promising masthead which I have created is
“Structure, you are the foundation” whilstthis does not includethe name of the magazine within it (Structure
being the name of the product) ithas the senseof encouragement as well as boastof self-esteemwhich I believe
in this day and age a lot of people need to help motivate them into action, this as a result means that my
magazine would be appealing to the younger generations, as well as almost result in the magazine being an
influence to those who are picking up the magazine in a consideration of begging in this genre.
Dominant image
The dominant image for my advert will be that of my model eating healthy food, the reason being for this is I
want for the advert as well as articleto combine both genres in one as though by this point you (as the viewer)
have had a taste of both styles and now you are onto a section of the magazine that combines both of them
together, the dominantimage however will notonly showthe model eating healthy food but a product of food
which I am ableto advertiseas there has to be an element of almostgreed to the magazineas its purposeat the
end of the day is to win the viewer over into buying the magazine as well as the products which itadvertises in
order for it to be a success,this as a result means the page has an almost intention for the product to be in the
viewers face which will lead me to take the photographs up close of the model.
Sub heading
The sub- heading will be placed above the article,the sub heading to a degree will be generic as it will only be
stating along the lines of “why you need this product?” however my twist which I plan to use on this almost
repeatedly used lineis I will almostmakeit so that the words are aimed at those of the north east, what I mean
by this is I will usealmostguilttrippingtechniques which will apply to those of the north east, the reason I plan
to do this is to make the sub heading unique as well as make the viewer almostfeel as though they are being
targeted in a hope to motivate the viewer, this as a resultmeans that the sub heading will be worded along the
lines of (for example) “you sure you want to continue lifepathetic?” it’s the element of threat which will either
make the viewer motivated and almost intimated or annoyed and ignore the advert.

In the bottom left corner of the advert there will be a small article, the fount style will be small so that the
viewers’ attention is aimed atthe dominantimage and as a wholefindingout what the productis,as well as this
another reason for the fount being small is the purpose of the advert is to promote a product, if there is too
much information on the advert then it is no longer teasing the viewer but instead discouraging them from
purchasing themagazine/productby givingthem all of theinformation they needed to know for free, the subject
however itself which the articlewill talk aboutwill bethat about what the productis meant for in the senseif it
is a fitness food or energy bar ect,in other words there will only beenough information to statewhat the product
is intended for.
Essential information
The only elements of essential information which I plan to input into my advert is that of a date as well as an
address for the website of my magazine, the location on the page which I will place these two pieces of
information will beat the bottom left underneath the articlemeaningthat after the viewer has read the article
they will naturally moveonto readingthe date and website address withoutlater lookingfor it meaning that the
viewers time is not being wasted.
