2. My magazine is aimed at young people between the ages
of 17 and 25. To see what was good and bad about my
magazine and how affective it was with my target
audience, I asked my peers (who are of similar age) as
well as person who is aged 20 to get a wider range of
ages for a better conclusion.

“The colour scheme fits the what I think a rock
magazine should be, the red, black and white seems to
be a violent combination of colours which suits the
edgy feel of the rock genre. The contents page is well
done, the layout isn’t too formal so it would appeal to
young people. I like how the font is used for the quote
in the double page, the font used reflects what the
words mean, a more violent font used for the more
aggressive sounding words”.

“The designs of each of the pages are smart but still
informal, I like how the image on the cover page is
slightly going over the title of the page is used a lot in
magazines that are more informal. The contents page
has a lot of information on the pages but still keeps it
appealing to look at and read because it’s well laid out,
the layout and colours used fits the style of the
magazine”.

“I read Kerrang magazine sometimes which has a very
edgy, informal look to it. Although your magazine
doesn’t have the same extreme rock feel, I can still
identify it as a rock magazine with the images used
and the colour scheme. The contents page and double
page have a sleek design which doesn’t always fits the
rock genre but the fonts, colours and informal
elements used do fit it”.
