Unit 15 – Print Based Advertisement
Unit 15 LO2 – Proposal 1
P2 Learners produce a plan for an advertising campaign that features
print-based advertisements.
Name: Sophie Lyne

What is the product being advertised?
I will be advertising a social event where friends can go and listen to a variety of
genres of music and relax and not have to worry about other aspects of their life
for a while. Additionally, it could be for everyone to meet new people who have
the same interests.
What are the Aims and Objectives you are trying to achieve?
Aims:
The aim of my poster print based advertisement would be to inform the public
on which bands/ artists will be on stage and what dates for example.
Objectives:
My objective would be to persuade everyone that this is the festival to go to and
that’ll because of the performers there, you wouldn’t want to miss out.
Target Audience
Maslow – They would be mainstreamers due to the fact that they are people who
go to popular events and want to go there for the experience.
Katz – The audience would be the type to go to be entertained and because it
would be a form of escapism from everything that is happening in their lives.
Hartley – Due to a lot of young adults there, their age would primarily be
between 17-30 and possibly more males than females because stereotypically
male prefer the alternative rock genre more.
Psychographics – They would be adventurous and outgoing because if you like
a variety of music and being outdoors then it would be a memorable experience
to spend the weekend with friends and having fun.
Socio-economic needs – C1-E because there are a lot of students and young
adults who would generally have a low spending power and not have a high
paying occupation.
Unit 15 – Print Based Advertisement
What is the campaign message?
As for the campaign message, it will be a way to allow my target audience to get
to the festival to see all the favourite bands live and enjoy the social event and go
for the experience for example if they wanted to camp over the few days that it
would be held at. When it comes to my slogan, it will be ‘Escape Reality’ because
a lot of people go to festivals so that they can have a break from their lives and
just have fun and not have to worry for a while.
Style or approach
The style I would use is quite bold colours to be able to grab the public’s
attention and I have my print based advertisement where you will find in public
places such as if you were getting public transport or near any places related to
music because it’ll get the target audience thinking about whether they’d want to
go and start a conversation on it.
Content
On my advert, I will include all the main headliners and other well-known artists,
which lots of festivalgoers and audiences will want to see. Also it would be
important to let them know when the festival will be taking place, therefore the
target audience will know when to go and decide with their friends possibly if
they all want to go together.

  • 1. Unit 15 – Print Based Advertisement Unit 15 LO2 – Proposal 1 P2 Learners produce a plan for an advertising campaign that features print-based advertisements. Name: Sophie Lyne Candidate Number: 2084 Centre Number: 64315 What is the product being advertised? I will be advertising a social event where friends can go and listen to a variety of genres of music and relax and not have to worry about other aspects of their life for a while. Additionally, it could be for everyone to meet new people who have the same interests. What are the Aims and Objectives you are trying to achieve? Aims: The aim of my poster print based advertisement would be to inform the public on which bands/ artists will be on stage and what dates for example. Objectives: My objective would be to persuade everyone that this is the festival to go to and that’ll because of the performers there, you wouldn’t want to miss out. Target Audience Maslow – They would be mainstreamers due to the fact that they are people who go to popular events and want to go there for the experience. Katz – The audience would be the type to go to be entertained and because it would be a form of escapism from everything that is happening in their lives. Hartley – Due to a lot of young adults there, their age would primarily be between 17-30 and possibly more males than females because stereotypically male prefer the alternative rock genre more. Psychographics – They would be adventurous and outgoing because if you like a variety of music and being outdoors then it would be a memorable experience to spend the weekend with friends and having fun. Socio-economic needs – C1-E because there are a lot of students and young adults who would generally have a low spending power and not have a high paying occupation.
  • 2. Unit 15 – Print Based Advertisement What is the campaign message? As for the campaign message, it will be a way to allow my target audience to get to the festival to see all the favourite bands live and enjoy the social event and go for the experience for example if they wanted to camp over the few days that it would be held at. When it comes to my slogan, it will be ‘Escape Reality’ because a lot of people go to festivals so that they can have a break from their lives and just have fun and not have to worry for a while. Style or approach The style I would use is quite bold colours to be able to grab the public’s attention and I have my print based advertisement where you will find in public places such as if you were getting public transport or near any places related to music because it’ll get the target audience thinking about whether they’d want to go and start a conversation on it. Content On my advert, I will include all the main headliners and other well-known artists, which lots of festivalgoers and audiences will want to see. Also it would be important to let them know when the festival will be taking place, therefore the target audience will know when to go and decide with their friends possibly if they all want to go together.
