reputation as one of Europe’s market leaders in the manufacture and sale of premium and trendy workwear, protective
wear, footwear and accessories, that is sold through a network of distributors and specialist re-sellers and outlets.
THE POSITION
As part of its growth strategy and to strengthen its existing UK business, our client is recruiting a Field Sales Manager m/f for
the UK. The position will be home-office based, situated ideally between Leeds and London. This is a management role, with
responsibility for the UK sales team, which is composed of 1 Area Sales Representative for the time being.
The position requires frequent travel, with occasional visits to the company’s headquarters in Belgium, as well as partaking in
relevant exhibitions and shows. (Safety & Health Expo, A+A, etc…)
Reporting directly to the Sales & Marketing Director, your responsibilities will include :
- To mentor and support the sales representatives on the UK market by assisting with new client acquisition to help
ensure sales targets are achieved.
- To promote the sale of the company’s products to distributors and resellers through an active and conquering
approach, with the support of the company’s marketing department.
- To provide support to existing distributor clients (resellers specialised in PPE and general industrial supplies, large
DIY outlets, building material merchants) and develop sales turnover.
- To accompany specialist resellers and distributors in their projects with end-users.
- To develop sales turnover through prospecting, and new client / sales outlet acquisition in the sales area.
- To prepare the action plan in line with the company’s strategy to ensure sales targets are achieved.
- To ensure regular monthly reporting to your hierarchy on the sales pipeline and strategy.
THE PROFILE
- You have ideally a third level commercial or technical education and a minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in B to B
sales and/or business development, targeting distributors, resellers and end-users.
- You have a good knowledge of the UK’s industrial distributors and re-sellers, and distribution (business supplies
and/or consumables) network.
- You enjoy field sales, you are a natural developper, you are pugnacious, and have a proven ability to close the sale.
- You are independent, able to work alone or in a team, organised, with a high degree of integrity and team spirit.
- The brand image (young, passionate, trendy and dynamic) corresponds with your personality and style.
- Your people skills, negotiation skills, and your willingness to satisfy your clients will be essential to your success in
this role.
- You live within the defined geographical area (ideally between Leeds and London).
- You are a natural leader and enjoy mentoring your colleagues.
- You speak fluent English, other languages are a plus.
