CAREER HISTORY

European Account Manager (B2B)
I currently manage around 40 educational resource distributors in 11 different
countries, the largest of which are based in Denmark, Italy and Poland.
I am responsible for negotiating the placement of educational resources for
Kindergartens and Primary schools within customer school supply catalogues,
websites and web-shops.
My role involves regular face to face meetings with distributors at their
premises, product demonstrations, advising on product selection, pricing,
negotiating prime product positioning, providing quotations for Ministry of

support.
Preparation for my customer meetings would include the planning and
preparing of customer specific objectives with a detailed agenda and key
question for moving the account forward.
This would be followed by detailed follow up notes capturing the meeting
objectives and the agreed actions required from both parties’ post meeting.
In addition to customer visits I meet with key personnel from the various
Departments of International trade and provide product demonstrations for
policy makers and procurement officers for each countries Ministry of

Early Years Exhibition and Conference Co-ordinator:
This was a continuously evolving role and I was heavily involved in the
development of the overall responsibilities of the position before moving to
European sales.
I managed the Early Years event budget and was responsible for the return
on investment.
My responsibility was to research all the key educational conference and
exhibitions opportunities within the UK Early Years sector, to negotiate costs,
plan the conference product displays, set in place specific goals and
objectives for each event and manage the stand.
The main aim of these events was to ensure that TTS remained at the
forefront of innovation in education through meeting with teachers and key
people within the education industry.
I demonstrated and discussed new product for Early Years and ICT
highlighting the features, benefits and matching them with teaching
requirements,
I was also tasked with identifying direct marketing opportunities, providing new
product ideas for the product managers and feeding back sales opportunities
to the direct sales team.
I had a very good working relationship with the product managers from other
departments and was often called upon to cover events for other divisions.

I was responsible for recruiting, coaching and supporting a team of Kleeneze
distributors and Business Managers throughout the UK.
I organised meetings, delivered training, booked travel and accommodation
for company conferences and business seminars.
As well as providing coaching on the fundamental skills required to develop
and maintain a successful Kleeneze retail customer base, I also work closely
with team members developing a range of essential key skills such as
effective time management, planning, communication, personal development

4. Previous career summary:
My previous employment has been varied having started my working life as
an electronics technician before moving into business to business sales.
I have sold advertising space for newspapers, business directories and trade
publications before moving into the security industry selling a range of CCTV
systems to retails shops.
This subsequently led to me starting my own business, selling, designing and
installing CCTV systems into retail and commercial premises, which required
me to also manage a team of self employed installation and service
engineers.
