of the alkaline earth metal.

bone and teeth the remaining 1% in blood.

materials like bone and shell.
 Formation of skeleton occurs through the
biomineralisation of calcium ion.
 In such structural units calcium forms the
biominerals like insoluble carbonate

 Muscle contraction –Glycolysis – metabolic
degradation of glucose.
 Gluconeogenesis – metabolic synthesis of
glucose.
 Blood clotting – whenever our skin becomes

K and protein will helps to blood clotting.
 Messenger system for hormonal activation
