Position : Merchandiser
Division : Fashion & Footwear - Foot Locker.
Duration : July 2015 – until date.
Job responsibilities:
• Decide product procurement through host brand range reviews or direct negotiation, including in season
buys.
• Assist in business and ongoing planning of merchandise and forecasting of sales, subsequently
accountable for sales / margin measurement.
• Assess store execution of merchandising plans, recommend optimum space management options based
on store trends / category sales performance.
• Recommend retail pricing levels, decide sale lines and mark down percentage strategy
• Develop relationships with internal/ external contacts, and assess appropriate and critical information.
• Identification /plan promotional events, and deliver in consultation with Operations and Visual Merchandiser.
• Coach and monitor performance of merchandise team within brand team. Supervise their activities,
maintaining brand and latest fashion trend awareness.
• Pro-actively utilize available software/ systems and identify improvements / requirements for further action.
• Manage / maintain stock file accuracy.
Position : Assistant Merchandiser
Division : Fashion & Footwear - Foot Locker.
Duration : May 2012 – June 2015
Job responsibilities:
• Forecast order quantities based on stock and sales history, calculate size ratios and monitor stock levels
and movement for stores across the Middle East.
• Identify, Analyze and Track sales of best sellers and core line merchandise.
• Prepare weekly reports to manage stock and take action accordingly in order to serve stores better.
• Assist in pricing strategy and ensure logic, commerciality within Brand targets for margin.
• Analyze reports to determine sales / margin / profit information with recommendations where appropriate.

• Work closely with the Senior Managers to plan and create highly commercial packages of new stock and
assist in ordering stock, analyzing sales and communicating the relevant information to stores and the
brand team.
• Inform stores and warehouses regarding new arrivals, stock release and returns.
• Ensure information on internal systems is accurate and recommend corrections.
• Track invoices and shipments and proactively inform line management of deviations.
• Request the stores for constructive feedback on how to better serve the needs of the stores.
• Work on building new strong store packages from distribution centers, regional as well as local based on
ROCE, capacity of store, profile of the Mall etc.
• Assist in making sure orders from local suppliers are ready for receipt in a timely manner.
• Schedule shipments into the Distribution center.
• Assist in stock allocation and distributions to the respective stores the product is planned for and tracking of
the shipment orders, making sure the stores have received it on time.
• Allocation/Distribution even Pre Distribution of stock from Regional Distribution Center (RDC) to Local
Distribution Center (LDC) as well as from Local Distribution to the stores.
• Communicate to the respective warehouses to conduct month end processes for Regional and Local
warehouse by clearing the min reserves.
• Consistently monitor and make sure all shipments GRN into the warehouse with accurate information; with
regards to Shortage, Excess or Extras received in shipment.
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the information of each shipment through necessary creations of
Excess or Extra ASNs with the help of the IT team.
• Provide monthly accurate supplier claim reports of year to date shipments received into the business to our
Finance team.
• Review best sellers and manually push out stock into stores. Set mins from RDC to LDC as well as LDC to
stores.
• Track and Monitor the success or failure packages sent to the store through mark down management tool.
Coordinate with operations to get image store feedback.
• Monitor store stock levels and accordingly hold back or release stocks so as to not exceed the store
capacity.
• Work on store consolidations by transferring stock of slow movers to top selling stores.
• Set up End of Season and Mid-Season Sale lists files, that needs to go to IT as well as the stores.
• Track shipments out of the RDC to the respective countries and make sure stocks reach the stores in a
timely manner.
• Work with the marketing team on incoming merchandise and expected time of availability in store which can
be promoted through social media. e.g. Facebook, Instagram etc.
Ali Abdulla Al Sane Trading Est. – Tefal
Established in 1972, has been in the field of cookware for the past 40 years.
Position : Purchase Analyst
Division : Purchasing Department.
Duration : August 2008 – April 2012
Job responsibilities:
• Analyze consumer buying patterns and predict future trends.
• Prepare firm order, forecast stock and sales reports as well as analyze sales figures.
• Approve orders procured from various customers and showrooms on a daily basis based on the market
movement and payment.
• Maintain accurate and current purchase order information.

• Co-ordinate and consult with the sales team in preparing the purchase orders, in order to meet the timely
requirements.
• Work closely with the Sales Team, Commercial and Marketing Managers in order to set up promotion
events of old and slow moving items in stock and assist in the designing the company catalogue for the
promotions.
• Correspond with suppliers regarding the containers to be shipped.
• Prepare the required documentation to receive the containers to the warehouse.
• Prepare the insurance for the invoiced containers and the transfer telex.
• Maintain detailed record of the payments made for the invoiced amounts.
• Post stock of new goods on arrival of containers and feed cost expenses.
• Maintain data integrity by operating on software’s such as Infinity 5 and Focus 9.
• Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and source new suppliers for future products.
• Assist in pricing and update the price list of each item in stock.
• Issue and track sales invoices and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain Sales Return Vouchers and update stock and client accounts.
• Maintain records and develops reports for the reconciliation of supply inventories.
• Drive continuous improvement activities and best practices across the tactical teams to achieve daily
efficiency improvements.
• The application and implementation of computer record keeping systems, accounting and billing
procedures, and perpetual inventory systems.
• Close monthly and yearly accounts by preparing statement of accounts and rebates for key customers.
• Prepare necessary files and reports for office and showrooms with regards to stock take.
• Assist during inventory stock take.

  • 3. • Co-ordinate and consult with the sales team in preparing the purchase orders, in order to meet the timely requirements. • Work closely with the Sales Team, Commercial and Marketing Managers in order to set up promotion events of old and slow moving items in stock and assist in the designing the company catalogue for the promotions. • Correspond with suppliers regarding the containers to be shipped. • Prepare the required documentation to receive the containers to the warehouse. • Prepare the insurance for the invoiced containers and the transfer telex. • Maintain detailed record of the payments made for the invoiced amounts. • Post stock of new goods on arrival of containers and feed cost expenses. • Maintain data integrity by operating on software’s such as Infinity 5 and Focus 9. • Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and source new suppliers for future products. • Assist in pricing and update the price list of each item in stock. • Issue and track sales invoices and resolve discrepancies. • Maintain Sales Return Vouchers and update stock and client accounts. • Maintain records and develops reports for the reconciliation of supply inventories. • Drive continuous improvement activities and best practices across the tactical teams to achieve daily efficiency improvements. • The application and implementation of computer record keeping systems, accounting and billing procedures, and perpetual inventory systems. • Close monthly and yearly accounts by preparing statement of accounts and rebates for key customers. • Prepare necessary files and reports for office and showrooms with regards to stock take. • Assist during inventory stock take.
