2. Good night
A girl wakes up from a coma and starts suffering from an extreme case of
somniphobia-a fear of falling asleep. She regularly undergoes therapy
treatments in order to remove the phobia. She keeps getting flashbacks from a
road trip and a car accident, however she can not connect them to her life. In
the end audience finds out that she was a part of an experiment, where they
tried to erase memory. There was a car ride in which she fell asleep, few
minutes before accident happened and fell in the coma after that. Doctors tried
to erase her memory in order for her not to become traumatised. After
continuous treatments and investigations, she finally gets better. The film ends
with a scene, when few months later she wakes up and her sompnihobia
resurfaces once again.
3. Pros:
Interesting story which the audience would like to continue to follow.
Only a few actors will be needed.
Cons:
Difficulties with filming scenes during the car accident.
Can be hard to obtain all the needed props such medical equipment and a car.
For scenes to be more realistic we need to have access to the hospital.
4. Last masterpiece
A girl, an artist vanishes leaving behind her artwork, journals and a critical
masterpiece. The detective who got assigned the case gets charmed by her
writings and her work as he works to uncover the case. Weeks go by, him
reading and discovering more of her letters, messages, diving deeper into her
character and getting obsessed with the idea of her. The film ends on a sad
note as he finally succeeds to find her, but chooses to respect her wish to
remain hidden and lets her go.
5. Pros:
Only a few actors will be required.
No special equipment will be needed
Cons:
Requires a male actor.
Various locations will be required.
6. Kimo
A kind, really protective, especially of his brother, and talented student-Kimo is
studying in high school, where he is a favored by both teachers and other
students. He is known for having a good reputation. The audience finds out that
there is another, much darker side of him, there is an enormous, crucial
contrast between his personality in and outside the school. As it turns out he
takes part in regular underground fighting clubs that are highly illegal.
Throughout the film, he is shown successfully balancing his two lives and
maintains his difference personas. One day the runs into his younger
homosexual brother, getting beaten up by a subgroup known as “Gaseri”. He at
once gets in between them and goes into a rampage revealing his true identity
in front of the whole school. In the end, his family and friends find about his
secret identity, however this happens when he had already run away from
home. He continues doing the thing he loves-fighting in underground clubs and
he stays kind and regularly reconnects with people the are important to him, for
example his brother.
7. Pros:
It will be easy to find one location to film in-high school.
Storyline will make the audience to want continue to watch the movie, as
they are interested in what will happen later.
Will be fascinating and aspiring to teenagers.
Not many props needed.
Cons:
Can be hard to film fighting scenes in terms of camera work.
Professional actors will be needed for the fighting scenes.
Difficulties with accessing desired locations.
A large amount of actors needed.
8. Alice in dreamland
Alice has narcolepsy, which is a disorder of excessive sleepiness. She keeps
falling asleep is different place, like a bench in a park, while sitting in a cafe and
eating. She is predisposed to constant confusion as she experiences fluent
transitions between reality and dreams. The audience can not tell what’s a
dream and what’s a reality. There are many crazy things like giraffe in her
place, inexistent pets, random people entering the room and doing unthinkable
bizarre things.
9. Pros:
Only one leading character.
Unique story
Cons:
Can be hard to film some scenes of dreams in the terms of location and props.
Extremely difficult to obtain wild animals for filming.
Dogs/cats would be hard to work with.
Advanced CGI would be needed.
10. Her Child
A school cleaning lady-Mary, who is very kind and sweet has developed an
unhealthy attachment to a certain boy-Oliver in the school. She spends a worrying
amount of time with Oliver, giving him special treatment and bringing him gifts such
as toys and foods. Oliver takes a liking towards Mary as well and they develop a
close relationship. This stirs up serious concern in Oliver’s mother. Later we find
out that Mary had suffered a horrible loss in her late youth of losing her newborn
child. This became a terrible trauma for her and found comfort in school where
there are many kids, especially in Oliver. The mother recognized that Mary is
unstable and acted, resulting in Mary getting fired from the school and a restraining
order from Oliver.
11. Pros:
Most of the film is happening in school.
It is a tragic and emotional topic.
Cons:
Requires a large amount of adult actors (Mary, principal, mother etc.)
Emotional scenes need to be strategically depicted.
