12. Cut awayFunding problems that occur are that there are a lot of horror movies lately and horror is going out of fashion and it’s edging towards the thriller era. It’s going to be a low budget film so there won’t be many special effects or classic looking gore. <br />Nyx, where your darkest fears come to light. <br />
![Pitch<br />The film we are making is called Nyx. Originally, we were going to call our name Carrie, a young girl’s name, but we found out the film had already been created in 1976, so we couldn’t have it. So we put our heads together and found a name that originated or was relevant to a mutation or the devil. <br />Our film is basically where a young girl’s mother goes out for the evening and the girl is home alone. She hears noises downstairs and begins to get suspicious, so she goes to check it out. She looks at her door and then a hole is kicked through her bedroom door. The camera goes towards the door where you see an eye, the first viewing of our ‘monster’. Then she starts to think she’s going insane because of how silly everything seems. She hears more banging so she does downstairs to check out what is going on. She looks around the rooms to see if anything is there but doesn’t find anything. She goes to go back upstairs but the kitchen door opens on its own and she hears a sort of wheezing sound as if someone was choking, then something black jumps across the screen.
