The four skills will be integrated through the whole class through the
3. discussion of the objects students need and don´t need to go camping,
and in other different situations.
Materials and resources: board, images, pupil´s book,poster
Pedagogical use of ICT in class or at home: as homework, students will
watch a presentation about going camping. They will have to find out
what is the new object they need when going camping and think in
which situations they need it or don´t need it.

Seating arrangement: students will be sitting pairs.
· Assessment: what will be assessed and how. I will check that students
understand need/ don´t need and identify vocabulary by using pictures,
asking “what do you need when go camping at night?“(and in other
situations) and Yes/No questions.
PROCEDURE
ROUTINE ( 5 min)
Purpose: to start thelesson.
I will get into the classroomand greet my students “Good afternoon
students!How are you today?” they will probably say “fine, fantastic,
wonderful, tired”

Transition: Ok, let´s start…Let´slook at the following pictures.
WARM – UP (10 min)
Purpose: to get students intothe moodof work and establishrapport.
4. I will show students some pictures and ask them what they have in
common. Where are the people camping?
5. Once I elicit they are camping in the mountains!
Yes! They are camping in the mountains! Now, look atthe flashcards
from last class and think… when you go camping in the mountains,
you NEED…
6. They will sharetheir opinions with the wholeclass.
Transition: Greatjob!That´swhatyou need. Let´s pay attention to
other situations..
PRESENTATION (15 min)
Purpose: to expose students to authentic use of language.
I will hang a poster on the board in order to help students understand the
difference between need and don´t need. They will read two different
situations. They will realize easily the difference between the two structures.
Then, I will tell them to think what you need and don´t need when you
camping in winter. Itwill be a guide for the next exercise. They will share
with the wholeclass.
Transition: Well done! Now, let´s write down some ideas…
DEVELOPMENT (10 min)
Purpose: to practice new structure.
I will ask them to work in their books in order to practise. I will ask them to
work in pairs.
CAMPING FACTS
When you go camping in summer,
you need sunblock.
When you go camping on thebeach,
you don´t need trekking boots.

CLOSURE (15 min)
Purpose:to talk about what they need and don’t need in different
situations.
They will work in pairs. One studentwill say the situation and the
other will say You need… / youdon´t need…
They will change roles.
I will give them someideas…Imagine youare riding a bike in the park,
fishing on a sunny day, doing your homework.
I will walk around monitoringthem.
Transition: wonderful job children!!It´stime to say goodbye now…

8. HOMEWORK:as homework, students will watch a presentation about going
camping. They will have to find out which the new object they need when
going camping is and think in which situations they need it or don´t need it.
They will share with the class next lesson.
