Teaching Approach: Based on Communicative Approach and Practice-
Presentation-Production (PPP) method.
Integration of skills: What skills will be integrated and how?
The four skills will be integrated through the answers of images.
Speaking and listening will also be integrated at the end of the class
through a survey and during all the lesson through the interaction
between the students and with the teacher.
Materials and resources: board, images, worksheet.
Pedagogical use of ICT in class or at home: at the beginning of the class
I will show the learners some of Mr Bean´s pictures in order to
introduce the main topic of the class.
3. Seating arrangement: students will be sitting pairs.
· Assessment: what will be assessed and how. I will check that students
understand present continuous and identify vocabulary by using
pictures and Yes/No questions.
PROCEDURE
ROUTINE ( 5 min)
Purpose: to start thelesson.
I will get into the classroom and greet my students “Good afternoon
students!How are you today?” they will probably say “fine, fantastic,
wonderful, tired”
Are you ready to start the class?
Yes!
Transition: Ok, let´s start…Do you remember yourhomework?
WARM – UP (15 min)
Purpose: to get students intothe moodof work and establishrapport.
I will ask them if the homework was easy or difficult and check how many
of them have done it. I will invite those who did it to sharetheir sentences
with the wholeclass. I will write them on the board so they can correct
them.
GreatWork!Now look at these images in my computer…
Look at the first one ..Is Mr Bean watching TV?
4. They would say NO, listening to music.
I will help them and say “No, he isn´t” . Whatis he doing? And I will try to
elicit the correct sentence.
I would repeat the same procedurewith the second picture.
Transition: Well done!Look at some more pictures..
PRESENTATION (15 min)
Purpose: to expose students to authentic use of language.
I will show them two flashcards with different pronouns and ask them
questions about them. I will guide them to remember how to produce
5. shortanswers. Nextto each picture I will write the answers so they can
have them as a model for the following exercise.
Now children, look at the following images:
Are they singing?
They will answer No and I will guide them how to answer it.
T: No, he isn´t? or No, They aren´t?
St: NO, they aren´t.
T: Excellent , remember thatyou alwayshave to respect the pronoun and
the appropriate verb to be.
Then, I will write another question on the board and repeat the same
procedureguiding them. Are they making a fire?
I will repeat the procedurewith another picture and two questions for it
so they produce the answers.

Is he sleeping?
6. After they finish, I will writetwo more questions on the board and ask
two students as an example:
Are you listening to the teacher?
Are you telling a story?
They will answer and I will remember them that they haveto change
pronoun and verb to be when they answer these questions.

DEVELOPMENT (15 min)
Purpose: to practice short answers andvocabulary.
I will ask them to work in pairs and answer the questions about the image
and about themselves. When they finish they will share with the whole
class.
I will walk around monitoring them and providing help if they need it.
