The theme of my project is highlighting the trials and tribulations that the sport of MMA had to go
through from being labelled "human cock fighting" to now being one of the most influential and popular
sports in the world.
For research, I had to watch many videos from historical moments in the sports and read many articles
too, this was to make sure that the information that I am stating is true and to make sure I can give as
little misinformation as possible to the audience. This helped by making my sentences and points in my
script more direct and coherent when making a point or discussing a specific time period or moment
within the sports history.
I developed my ideas throughout the project by watching other content on the sport and taking pointers
on how to write and phrase things whilst also taking editing techniques to help the video flow smoother
and help be easier on the eyes for the audience.
The outcome of the project was a well formed video in the style of a documentary, detailing the history
of MMA in the Western world from 1993 to present day. Mentioning the highs and lows of the history.
This was done with evidence as to how I created it. Also, due to my research that I did and also intensive
looks at little details such as colour theory.
Feelings
This section will explore your thoughts and feelings about the experience. This will help gain a understand of how your
personal feelings may have impacted the final outcome.

Before I started the project, I had a broad idea as to what I wanted the project to look like and I was
dedicated to make it look as I planned in my head with my skills that I poses.
My project development helped me with framing how the aesthetics of the video was going to look. This
was due to, me already knowing without a doubt what the audio design was going to be like, monotone
to convey the seriousness of the matter. So I had more time to experiment with what the visual aspect
would look like meaning I could go into more detail with how I wanted the video to be presented.
When the project was completed, I felt achieved due to the time frame I did it in and how happy I am
with the end result. I am happy with the visual aspect of the video as that is what I worried about more
due to me having to make the video eye catching and keep the audiences attention. The audio I am also
happy with as I believe that the editing of the audio, as well as the visual aspect, work well together and
flow smoothly throughout the whole video.
Evaluation
In the previous sections, you have been commenting upon the project development. The evaluation may include some
similar information but it will also include critical comment.
An evaluation must include information about the good and bad points of the project and it is important to be honest.
Finally, you should make a judgment about the effectiveness of the success of the project
How did you feel about the project before you started? *
What do you think about your project development and how did it help you to refine your
idea? *
* If working in a group, how do you think other people felt?
How did you feel when the project was completed and why? *

Throughout the project, I learned to focus on little details that help make the bigger picture of the project
much better and help the overall quality of the project. Research in this project was a strong point due to
me being passionate about the subject and already knowing a lot of information about specific parts of
the history due to me doing my own research before the project, this helped a lot by helping me save
time during the time frame to focus more on the production side of my project which I believe payed off
in my favour.
A challenge I faced was the audio balancing, I fixed this by putting the audio that I had already cut up
and places in position into audition and applying a effect to it which boosted it and make it more clear to
hear over everything else within the video. This helped a lot as it upgraded the quality of the project.
One minor bad point I had during this project was not sourcing all of my videos/ videos and music that I
was going to use for the editing and production portion of my project. I could have downloaded and
placed the files in a place where I knew where they were to save me time and make me more efficient
with my editing, rather than having to worry and rush to get all of my sources that I need.

I think that due to my extensive research and keen eye for details, the project has come out well. I think
the script works and conveys points and information well as well as the editing flowing well and making
the project better. I could have been more efficient in some areas such as sourcing files before editing
and production as this would have given me more time to edit rather than worrying and being
unorganized.
I think my project would appeal to the target market and even further due to the visual aspects of the
video and also that I include all the parts that someone who is interested in the sport would like to hear
and find interesting, this could also be good for someone who isn't part of the target market due to them
wanting to get into the sport and they might find this piece of media a good way to learn about the
history.
Analysis
In this section, you will focus on the details of the project and make sense of what happened in the project. You should
demonstrate how your decisions informed the project development and the success of the outcome.
The project was a success as I achieved what I set out to do by making a factual piece about the history
of MMA within the Western world, I also included visually appealing pieces to keep the audiences
attention, which is also something I wanted to achieve.
The main element that didn't go well was my organization skills that I seemed to lack during this project.
Also, the audio balancing to start with was not good but was shortly and swiftly fixed.
Justify your rating above? What is your opinion of your final piece? What elements do you
think are successful and why?
How well would your design appeal to the target market?

My skills developed with premiere as I learnt where things such as effects and balancing where, this
helped me become more efficient with my editing towards the end of the project and I can use these
skills on future projects that include premiere.
In this project, I wanted to convey the seriousness and impactful history of MMA in the Western world, I
believe i achieved this by using a monotone voice whilst reading my script but also by showing visually
what I am talking about to help the audience, especially ones who are new to the sport.
My peers enjoyed the project as a whole and I was not given any negative or constructive criticism.
In the future, I would be more efficient and more organized for the next time I do a project to make sure I
do not get behind and stay on the ball with what I meant to be doing.
I have been supported immensity throughout this project by my tutor who gave me ideas and pushed me
to keep working and seeing what else I could add to my project. My new familiarity with premiere, from
working on this project, will help me be more efficient with my editing and help me with time
management.

If I was doing a similar project in the future, I would make sure I have everything planned out and in front
of me to help me stay focused on the production of the project rather than losing focus throughout the
editing section.
I could be better at using such things as audition to help with my audio skills by taking online lessons or
looking at tutorials, this is also the same for premiere as even though I feel more comfortable with the
software, I could still get better by using different effects and editing styles to mix up my videos and
make them more generally appealing to audiences.
To work at a professional level, I need to work more on my motivational skills as I have struggled with
that from time to time and also my skill to stay on track and not get confused as to what I am doing or
my aim in my work.
