3. REVISE AND EDIT
Read your narrative (story) use a different coloured pen:
• underline any words that you can see you have used too many times (often the words – then, walk, said, so – you might
find others)
• Underline the words you know are too simple and you can use a more adventurous or interesting word
• Circle all your commas – have you used commas correctly?
• Does all your character speech have inverted commas?
• If you know you should have started a new paragraph and forgot put // to show where a new paragraph should have
begun
• When you know you have edited, improved and developed you writing skills send your story to us
• You can upload a photo or a word document to Purple Mash
