0.4 x 10 = 4
0.4 x 10 = 4
0.4 x 2 = 0.8
Answer = 8.8
Half 0.4 and double 22
0.2 x 44 = 8.8
4 Ways to calculate 18 x 0.4
10 x 0.4 = 4
8 x 4 = 32 so 8 x 0.4 = 3.2
Answer 7.2
Half 18 = 9 double 0.4 = 0.8
9 x 0.8
9 x 8 = 72 so 9 x 0.8 = 7.2
5 Ways to calculate 0.5 x 21
Double 0.5 = 1 half 21 = 10.5
1 x 10.5 = 10.5
0.5 x 10 = 5
0.5 x 10 = 5
0.5 x 1 = 0.5 Answer = 10.5
6 Ways to calculate 0.5 x 73
Double 0.5 = 1 and half 73 = 36.5
1 x 36.5 = 36.5
0.5 x 10 = 5 (seven times )

Parenthesis is shown by a dash, brackets and some by commas, Remember, not all commas show parenthesis!
The new Pharaoh - unnecessarily afraid - of the ever-growing Israelite population, ordered every new-born Hebrew boy to be thrown into the river Nile, but let every girl live. Moses' mother
Jochebed gave birth and kept him hidden for three months from Pharaoh's soldiers. When she could no longer keep him hidden, she fashioned a waterproof basket (lined with tar and pitch),
and placed him in the reeds along the riverbank, from a distance, Miriam – his sister- kept watch.
A princess, one of pharaoh's daughters went down to the Nile to bathe and discovered a crying baby. When the child grew older, she took him to pharaoh's daughter, (who named him Moses)
saying, "I drew him out of the water."
Moses grew up a privileged member of the court, well educated academically and privileged. Upon adulthood, he killed an Egyptian guard (who was beating a Hebrew slave) and had to leave
Egypt in fear of his life.
Moses fled to Midian, and married Jethro's daughter, Zipora. At Mount Horeb, God's angel made a bush burn with fire, but it did not burn up. When Moses came nearer, God spoke to him
and ordered him to remove his shoes - as he was on holy land. God commanded him to be a leader for the Israelites. At first Moses did not want to do it (he lacked self belief) and said that he
was not good with words, but God commanded him.
Moses then went to the Pharaoh and asked him to let the Israelites go, however the Pharaoh did not agree. Finally God inflicted plagues (ten) upon the Egyptians before Pharaoh agreed to
release the Israelites. The Pharaoh finally decided to let the Israelites go who then migrated in large numbers from Egypt – a significant event was the parting of the waves.
Moses led the Israelites through the wilderness, and God provided what they needed (manna, quails and water), it was a challenging and difficult time for the Israelites.
Moses came to Mount Sinai, for forty days and forty nights he went up to receive laws, priest duties and important instructions from God (including the Ten Commandments). The Ten
Commandments were written by God on two tablets.
When the people waited for Moses, they lacked faith (they had begun to worship a calf made of gold) and when Moses returned the tablets were smashed, Moses was disappointed in the
people. Moses asked God to forgive the people and God wrote for Moses two more tablets, and these were placed in the Ark.
While the Israelites were wandering around the wilderness, the people kept complaining about the hardships (the conditions and the variety of food and water). God instructed Moses to
send twelve spies to scout the land God is giving to them, only Joshua (son of Nun) reported the truth as God wanted.
Moses instructed Joshua take over him before he died, he saw the Promised land, but died before entering (aged 120 years old).
Today followers of the Jewish faith (Jews) follow the laws of the Ten Commandments and the Torah that God gave to them through Moses.
He is an important prophet for the followers of the Islam faith (Muslims), who call him Musa.

17. Scripture Passage What does this teach about FAITH?
she took a basket made of reeds and covered it with tar to make it watertight. She put
the baby in it and then placed it in the tall grass at the edge of the river. 4 The baby's
sister stood some distance away to see what would happen to him
11 When Moses had grown up, he went out to visit his people, the Hebrews, and he saw
how they were forced to do hard labour. He even saw an Egyptian kill a Hebrew, one of
Moses' own people. 12 Moses looked all around, and when he saw that no one was
watching, he killed the Egyptian and hid his body in the sand.
the king sent for Moses and Aaron and said, “Get out, you and your Israelites! Leave my
country; go and worship the LORD, as you asked. 32 Take your sheep, goats, and cattle,
and leave. Also pray for a blessing on me.”
31 When the Israelites saw the great power with which the Lord had defeated the
Egyptians, they stood in awe of the Lord; and they had faith in the Lord and in his servant
Moses.
Moses answered, “Why are you complaining? Why are you putting the Lord to the test?”
18 Moses went on up the mountain into the cloud. There he stayed for forty days and
nights.
18 When God had finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the two stone
tablets on which God himself had written the commandments.
4 Then the Lord said to Moses, “This is the land that I promised Abraham, Isaac, and
Jacob I would give to their descendants. I have let you see it, but I will not let you go
there.”
