Target Audience.
 My target audience for this music video and song is primarily women from the ages 16-25. this is because during
this age range a women is more than likely going to experience some kind of heartbreak and listen to a song such
as this one that relates to their situation. This song also has an indie sound to it so it could appeal to those who
don’t like to follow conventional social codes and are expressing themselves through the music they listen to, the
clothes they wear, the places they like to visit etc. This age range is also a time in which young people will be
trying to find themselves and through life experiences such as heartbreak and listening to a song like this during a
period in your life that could be horrible ingrains the song into the brain of the consumer.
 The target audience will be the kind of people who shop in indie/vintage shops such as urban outfitters or charity
shops as they’re lower budget. They will enjoy going out with their friends whether that be going clubbing with
their once they meet that age or spending time with friends adventuring in places in which they could take for
example make lasting memories and perhaps practice an interest in hobbies such as photography.
 They will be levelled at an E on the abc1 scale as they will be students doing their GCSE’s, A levels or at university
meaning that their income will only come from a student loan and any part time work they could get.

that:
 the majority of people who listen to
indie/pop music are within the age
range 16-25.
 Females are more likely to listen to
the indie genre of music.
 People within the age range 16-25
listen to 25+ hours of music a week
and this will tend to include 2-3
genres.
 the majority of people who selected
indie as their favourite genre of music
also selected pop.
Conclusion of my target
audience research.
 My target audience research concluded in the fact that I should be aiming my
brand, video, digipak and advertisement at women from the ages of 16-25. This is
what I expected to see from the results of the questionnaire and has enforced that
women are the people it needs to appeal to.
 Individuals who like indie music are also favourable to the pop genre this to me
means that the video I will create needs to have elements of pop such as having an
attractive male lead and shots of some kind of romantic feel.
 People who will be listening to this song will be spending 30+ hours a day listening
to music and watching music videos on platforms such as YouTube. This shows me
that the video for this song needs to stand out massively and be memorable for
those watching it.
