Rebecca Phillips identifies her target audience as being between ages 16-25 who have disposable income to spend on entertainment. While she received equal male and female candidates, as she is creating an indie music magazine she will mainly target males, but try to include some female-oriented content. Based on her target audience's age and music preference, most will still be in full-time education, so she will use sophisticated language. She also found they enjoy live music events and festivals, so will include reviews, and keeping up with new music, so will feature new artist and music reviews.

16.  From my research I have found that my target audience
should be between the ages 16-25 because these people
might have some source of disposable income that they
wish to spend on entertainment. As I received an equal
amount of female and male candidates so I have the
choice of target audience of gender, however, as I have
chosen to do a indie music magazine, I will follow the
convention of indie music magazines and aim my target
audience mainly at males. However I will try to include
some content relatable to females because I feel that
there is a gap in this market. Due to the age group and
music genre I am targeting for my magazine, I have looked
at the most popular occupation field from my research and
I have found that it is in full-time education. I have used
this to determine that the language in my magazine will be
of a high level as my target audience will have a greater
understanding of the English language.

17.  I can see from my results that my target
audience enjoy going to live music
events, especially festivals, so I can include
reviews of past live events and give
information about up-and-coming events.
 I have also learnt that my target audience
enjoys keeping up with new music, therefore
I will include reviews of new music and
artists.
