Rebecca Phillips identifies her target audience as being between ages 16-25 who have disposable income to spend on entertainment. While she received equal male and female candidates, as she is creating an indie music magazine she will mainly target males, but try to include some female-oriented content. Based on her target audience's age and music preference, most will still be in full-time education, so she will use sophisticated language. She also found they enjoy live music events and festivals, so will include reviews, and keeping up with new music, so will feature new artist and music reviews.
