Operate and conduct mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs, preventive and corrective
maintenance to pipe lay components, tensioners, lay tower, and cranes on board.

Position: - Mechanical Maintenance Technician
Main duties of this position were: -
The role was my first venture into overlooking projects from start to finish, with this meant allot more
involvement than in previous roles, Had to work my way round numerous obstacles/ problems on
offshore/site regarding equipment and project speciation.
Role duties consisted of the following:
• Develop orders with customers either by personal contact or on site visits to customer premises.
• Sourcing equipment, suppliers and stock control
• Maintenance, refurbishment and repair of compressors, generators, mobile hydraulic power
units used for temporary tensioners used for flexible pipe lay for offshore projects, cranes, tuggers &
general deck equipment
• Ability to demonstrate an appropriate level of technical understanding of the design & function of
various equipment groups and carry out all repairs to the highest quality, ensuring that rework is not
due to negligence or lack of technical ability
• Ability to demonstrate competencies of machine diagnostics, repairs, testing and adjusting of
machine operating and monitoring systems utilising relevant literature and testing equipment.
• Source and requisition parts through the appropriate parts manuals and ordering procedures
and all unused parts are returned for credit in a prompt timely manner.
• Ensure all parts removed from machines under warranty are tagged and secured in the
designated area.
• Coordinate major site based equipment maintenance projects.
• Coordination of job packets.
• Creation of service reports and relevant documentation are completed accurately and in a timely
manner for the customer
• Comply with clients policies and ensure all on site plant is maintained and in a clean, safe
condition at all times.

Summary
I possess several areas of experience that when combined would, I feel help in a technical maintenance and
engineering role. I have theoretical and practical experience with all aspects of Mechanical / hydraulic systems.
Can travel to any work location to suit job requirements.
Most importantly for the roles of maintenance engineer, Lay Tech / Operator. I am time served with offshore
