I am an assistant subsea supervisor offshore and have been for the last 4 years. I was in the fast track
programme for Transocean and then was offered a position as assistant subsea on board the Sedco
Energy. Due to the Industry downturn I have not had the chance to progress to the next step of Night
supervisor but feel I am more than ready to move up. I served my time as an electrician and have
worked offshore for over 15 years. I am a determined and decisive individual who uses initiative to meet
and resolve challenges either on my own or as part of a team. I am a creative problem solver who
is reliable and dependable in meeting objectives and also very hard working. I am a competent and
dependable person who has high personal standards who pays attention to detail but am always seeking
to learn new things from others within the group. I have Good interpersonal skills and I work well with
others and with these attributes this makes me a valuable team member.

Assistant Subsea Supervisor, Transocean (Sedco Energy)
Currently in charge of cold stacking the Sedco Energy
Assist senior subsea with day to day running, maintenance and installation of subsea
equipment.
Work on the following equipment when on surface. Cameron TL c/w Ramlocks, Cameron DL
Annular, Vetco HD H4 Connector and Cameron Collet 70 LMRP connector
Maintain, run and pull Vetco MR-10 Riser system
Maintain and install the Hydril FS-21 Diverter.
Refer to relevant drawings when rebuilding the BOP stack and all other subsea equipment.
Pressure testing various subsea equipment and choke and kill manifold from the subsea
test unit or via the cement unit.
Operate and maintain 200k Retsco tensioner system
Pre-charge of system accumulators on surface and on the BOP
Installation and maintenance of WOM valves etc. on the choke and kill manifold.

Engineers to support the customer’s needs.
The main point of contact for Customers and Service Engineers regarding
technical requirements to CCS and PCWD systems.
Liaising with customers during lifetime of projects which includes meetings right through to
invoicing.
Briefing and guidance for Service Engineers prior to projects starting.
On call support required on a rotational basis
Ensure that all relevant certification is in place for projects.

Electrical / Mechanical Service Engineer, National Oilwell Varco
Based globally offshore and on land to attend to break down repair, installation and training
on NOV pressure control systems. Systems included single and 3 phase systems, SBC’s,
PLC’s, electric / hydraulic controls, HMI system, Fibre Optic repair, PROFIBUS systems,
Bartec OLM’s and Digital / analogue modules and data logging systems. Also required to
strip / rebuild Shaffer valves, Shaffer rotating annular and CCS system (5” NXT BOP bodies)
Interpret NOV drawings (Electrical, Mechanical and hydraulic) during maintenance and fault
finding.
Responsible for Supervising of jobs, Liaise with customers and that all relevant paperwork is
completed clearly and concisely on NOV pressure control projects.
Ensuring NOV procedures are followed when operating /maintaining pressure control
equipment.
Maintaining electrically and mechanically to relevant offshore standards PCWD and
CCS systems.
