I have over 14 years of diverse technical engineering experience ranging from operation of a
nuclear propulsion plant to ensuring compliance with federal power generation regulatory
requirements. I maintain a high level of confidence with co-workers, while ensuring the
commitment and integrity required accomplishing complex tasks, is upheld at all times. I
routinely exhibit my detail-oriented experience which has resulted in completion of high-
priority maintenance jobs and compliance tasks ahead of fast-paced schedules with a positive
outcome. I frequently focus on multiple long term projects while dealing with daily issues
and concerns outside of those projects.
Representative Experience
Senior NERC Specialist, NAES Corporation. Responsible for ensuring regulatory
compliance with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) standards in
a fleet of over 130 power generation facilities throughout North America as well as
providing compliance-related support to a broad customer base outside of the NAES
Fleet.
Coordinate projects with Plant Managers, Projects Managers, as well as internal and
external customers to complete projects on time and within the constraints of the
contract and budget.
Provides input into the department budget and actively works within the budget to
ensure maximum profitability of the department. Works actively to contain costs and
uses resources effectively. Operates within company and department budgetary
guidelines, and always requests approval of General and Administrative expenditures.
Acts as a liaison between newly acquired power plants and the previous ownership
and/or operating groups to effectively transition all program documentation while
maintaining compliance at all times. Developed a positive relationship with multiple
NAES ownership groups resulting in additional work being requested of the NERC
group.
Developed the NAES NERC qualification program for NAES NERC Specialists,
Regularly interact with junior employees to manage project development. Regularly
provides progress reports and findings to the Division Director. Directly supervises
NERC specialist in this process to ensure proper training and completion of work. In
doing so ensures that junior personnel are aware of the impact their actions have on the
department budget and the NERC departments continued success.
Assisted in the development and implementation of the NERC group workflow process
for reviewing documents and procedures prior to fleet distribution. This process

ensures a quality product and maximizes the programs profitability. Furthermore, it
ensures that a final product which requires minimal re-work is issued to the fleet. As a
senior NERC specialist, I review all compliance related documents prior to Division
Director final review.
Reviews electrical and mechanical engineering schematics to identify protective
relaying and associated equipment.
Represents NAES with clients (inside and outside) while establishing positive working
relationships with many NAES ownership representatives (inside and outside)
frequently resulting in the NERC department obtaining more work from these clients.
Manages multiple Long Term NERC Service contracts with outside customers,
ensuring that all contract requirements are met within the scope of the budget. Through
positive interactions with these clients NAES has renewed a number of these long term
contracts, providing substantial profits for the department.
Work with the NAES marketing department in the development cost estimates for
internal and external clients
Has strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Power
Point, and Project.
Operations Analyst, NAES Corporation. Responsible for research and development
of operating and maintenance procedures, training curriculum and preventive
maintenance plans. Applied technical knowledge and experience in engineering, plant,
and equipment design to prepare detailed operating instructions and systems
descriptions for electric generating power plants, including electrical, mechanical and
HVAC systesm.. Provided on-site training on the use of procedures and operation of
specified power plants.
Power Plant Supervisor, US Navy. Directly supervised and maintained nuclear
propulsion plants and personnel to ensure that the high standards of operations were
met. Ensured that junior personnel were trained in accordance with the Navy’s
qualification standards and applied both theoretical and operational knowledge of
mechanical, HVAC, and electrical equipment safely and effectively during. Monitored
and inspected reactor plant equipment and indications on over 100 pieces of machinery
and support equipment to ensure proper operation.
Controlled and maintained auxiliary equipment such as pumps, fans, compressors,
condensers, HVAC units, feed water heaters, and filters to supply water, lubricants, air,
and auxiliary power. Operated power plant equipment, including boilers, turbines,
generators, HVAC units, heat exchangers, and reactors using valves, control boards,
and semi-automatic equipment. Performed maintenance on machinery including
overhauls, alignments, lubrication, and calibration.Attended Navy Leadership courses
as a 2nd Class Petty Officer.

Power Plant Training Instructor, US Navy. Responsible for planning and
implementing a curriculum to train junior personnel in nuclear power plant operations
as well as administering continual training for qualified nuclear plant mechanical
operators. Directly supervised 30 Reactor Mechanical personnel in this capacity.
