Bauer Media Group is a European based group, with its headquarters being
found in Hamburg, Germany. It was founded in 1875
They manage a portfolio of over 600 magazines, 400 digital products and 50
radio and TV stations all over the globe.

services. Bauer Media Group has a workforce of approximately 11,000
employees in 17 countries.
Key members include Yvonne Bauer, who is the CEO and owns 85% of the
whole company, Jörg Hausendorf, Harald Jessen and Witold Wozniak
In 2015, they earned €2.316 billion worth of revenue, with 11,500 employees.
3. They own some very famous radio stations and magazines, for example, they
own Absolute Radio and Kiss FM, which are popular in the UK, and also
magazines such as Women’s Weekly.
Publishing in the UK for them began back in 1987. In 1990, H Bauer launched
a weekly women's magazine named ‘Take a Break’. H Bauer also has a sister
title, ‘that's life!’ that launched in 1995. The H Bauer Publishing brand also
includes puzzle magazines that carry the Take a Break name.
Bauers first TV listings were back in 1991, with the launch of the ‘TV Quick’
magazine.

Bauer own such a large range of different companies, with many targeting
niche audiences such as magazines for vintage cars and motorbikes, as an
example.
Again, with there being such a large range of companies that they control, it’s
difficult to state that they have a specific genre. A possible example could be
that they own a lot of tabloid like magazines in their magazine section.
The audiences they target varies depending on the company, with the ages
ranging from 18-75 for the magazines.
The overall aim of the company would be to provide audiences with a large
range of different media products, making developments and new products
whenever they can.
